   Have you ever thought of a great topic to write, and suddenly you can't remember it at all?

   Yes I have. So what I started doing is.....I typed in the topic by actually opening a hub so I could soon go to it and fill in my articles without problems before eventually publishing it. I have a handful of unpublished hubs with some good topics I thought of.

   I did that a lot in the past. But since I joined HP, I keep a list of all the topics that I want to write about. So, any time I think of a topic i jot it down on my list.

   Yes it happened to me several times.  But now I use my smartphone as a notebook and immediately type in the topic and then save it.

   I do that all the time. It's why I always create notes in my cell phone and carry a note pad. It helps me keep my thought process to go back to.

   It happens often. I therefore carry a pen and paper to capture it before it takes flight. You can also speak it into your phone

   I have experienced that more times than I would like to admit.  What I have started doing is trying to write them down somewhere, or if I am at the computer I will start the hub.  This seems to work well for me and it even helps me be more productive because I always have a few hubs in progress.

   This happens to me all the time, especially at nights -- while I'm falling asleep, I'll think of a great topic, but won't remember it when I wake up in the morning.  New solution: I keep a pencil and sticky notes on my bedside table, so I can quickly scribble it down.

    Yes. I've sometimes thought of a great idea, been distracted, and then for the life of me I can't remember what the 'super' idea was! I don't force myself to remember and just let it come back into memory naturally - it usually does. I normally try and write all my ideas down in my notebook as soon as something occurs to me and this is the best thing to do rather than rely on memory.

    Many times and I feel so bad because deep in my mind I know it was a good one, and I try to go back to the things I did, read and even where I thought about it in the hope of remembering it, sometimes I do but more often than not I don't.
    
    I have learned though and these days I put it in a notepad of my Articles to write...and get back to it every now and then, to add or remove what has already been done.

    Sometimes, but generally when i think of a topic I will write it down. I have a word page that i have heaps of topics that i continue to add to for those times i am stuck. But sometimes i have forgotten to add to it and thought dam that was a good idea to.

    Yes I most certainly have.  I recommend always having something you can write on.  I have an Iphone, so I do not have to worry about it. But, if you do not have that luxury. but you do have a pen, bring it with you and even write on your hand!

    All the time for me, and what makes it worse is these topics pop up out of nowhere, and usually in places where you can't even write it down. (e.g inside the mall or somewhere)

    YES! which is why I always carry around a voice recorder (which most MP3 players have built in--not just smart phones, although they work, too), small notebook and a pen.  I feel naked without the pen and paper...

    Yes. It happens alot before. There were times when I cannot write the main idea of the topic that I will write because I don't have my notes and pen with me.

    It happens to me all the time but I don't look at it as a bad thing but more so a way of my mind filtering out the crap. Being a writer I almost never write an idea down, I store it away in my head in a sort of primitive filing cabinet until I'm ready for it and should the mental sheet of paper that its been written wither away and rot then the idea wasn't as strong as I thought it was.
