I want to make a recipe hub for a salad but the dressing can be used in many other recipes. It would be difficult to post the recipe in a separate hub because it's short and I don't want to have to figure out 400-500 words to say about it for a separate hub. Is is possible to include it as a separate capsule in the recipe hub for the salad and then link just to that capsule from other hubs or recipes I've written on other sites? I don't want to duplicate the material i those other recipes.
Yes, you can do that.
Right click on the hub and choose 'view page source' Use the Crtl+F function to find the capsule heading you want to link to.
Read the source code of your subtitle line, and look for the related mode number - it should read something like id="mod_16670163"
The link you want to link to is wannabwriter.hubpages.com/hub/hub-title#mod_16670163 or whatever the mod number is.
Just put the normal link to the hub and then put the hash sign followed by the number, no spaces.
Thank you very much. I just walked in the door and now I'm ready to start writing.
This is very helpful, thanks! I've been trying to figure out how to do this too and I didn't know anything about looking at the page source, etc. Really good information.

My most recently snipped hub is about a specific product that is not readily available in stores. It used to have an amazon capsule, but that was deleted courtesy of HubPro a while back. Made no sense to me at the time because I've had multiple sales through amazon for that product, but I didn't...

I am so tired of trying to second guess the requirements. It seems that it takes 2-3 edits to go from UF engagement to Feature. Could someone please check out my recent edit which I edited again after getting the circle? I removed 1 of the 2 Zazzle links and another to a blog which may have been...

I give! I've searched the first 3 or 4 pages of "Getting Help" Forum and I've read the entire Link's Capsule section in the Learning Center (http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/using-hubtool). That Hub, by the way, has a large number of Quick Links in it. How do you create a list of topics...

I know it's been asked before. I've even asked it before. But is there a better and easier way to bring in links to a link capsule from another hub. It'd make linking series so much easier. I spent about 2 hours yesterday linking an old series that I have together. It included about 20 or so hubs...

I understand the rationale for removing amazon capsules. I'm very careful not to include amazon capsules unless they are 100% relevant, and I can provide a personal opinion. I rarely do more than one per hub.HP is not only snipping amazon capsules on hubs for niche sites, but also just to have a...
