For the last several days if I wish to share a good hub from a HP author with my followers, it won't do it for some reason.  Is anyone else having this problem?

Oh, yes.  In the past if you wanted to share a Hub, you just clicked the share button and there it went.  Now, it say "working" and the little wheel just goes round and round.....I miss that feature.

Are you still having problems with the share to followers section?

I just tested sharing by clicking the + Followers share button underneath the Pinterest "Pin It" in Internet Explorer 9 in Windows 7 and it shows "Hub Shared!" and does not show the "working" message.

If you are using Internet Explorer 8 or earlier I would recommend upgrading to the latest version supported by your operating system.

In general, HubPages works best with Firefox, so you may want to consider using Firefox 14, especially if you are using Windows XP.

You may also want to try clearing your browser cache.
You can find cache clearing instructions for most browsers here:

Thanks, Matthew.  I use both IE9 and Firefox.  I have tried on both browsers and the little wheel just goes round and round.  I also cleared the cache.  This just started for me yesterday.

@mary615 Your browser is indicating Internet Explorer 8 and Firefox 15 (which is beta).
Do you have problems if you use the latest stable version of Firefox, 14?

I'm still having problems.  I just checked on getting Firefox 14, and I get a warning not to change to 14.  Yes, I'm using FF 15 which I thought was the latest version.  Any other advice?  Many thanks.

If your not deleting History at the same time you empty your cache try that. I had problems on here one time once I delete history it worked.

When I log off at night, I clear out everything, history, etc.  This just started a couple of days ago.  Someone advised when I want to share:  click the link to that page, copy, then go to the main page and when I see I commented on a Hub, paste that link there.  Sure takes extra time to do that.
Sometimes these things just take care of themselves in time.
                Thanks for your input.

We cannot support beta or development versions of browsers.
Firefox 14 is the latest stable version of that browser.

        Hi Matthew,

We have the latest version of IE 9.  Just tried sharing a hub and it still does not work.  Thanks for trying to resolve this for us.

          @Peggy W
I am unable to reproduce the issue using Internet Explorer 9 and Windows 7.
Can you think of anything else specific to your machine?
          Have you restarted the computer?

Do you have add blocking extensions, plugins, or add-ons installed?

Do you have the same problems if you use Firefox 14?

            Hi Matthew,

No add-ons or blocking extensions, plugins, etc.  I have not tried using Firefox.  The share is still not working today.  Just tried it.

Now for some reason, after I approve a comment and then make a comment, I go back to read more and the approve button is still there.  I hit approve over and over again.   Strange!

It sounds like there may be something wrong with your computer.

I did tests again and I cannot recreate the issue you are experiencing in Internet Explorer 9, Firefox 14, nor Chrome 21 all on Windows 7.

              Have you:

              1. Rebooted your computer?
              2. Tried from another computer?
              3. Cleared your browser cache?

                Hi Matthew,

Will try clearing the browser cache and rebooting and see what happens.  Thanks for the advice.

I cleared my history yesterday and just tried sharing a hub from Firefox and it still does not work.  I can tweet and do other things...just not share with fellow HP followers.  Any other suggestions?  If not, we may have to have our computer guy take a look at our machine to see if he can figure out what is going on with regard to this.

                  @Peggy
I'm sorry you are still having problems.
It looks like you are using Firefox 7 and the current stable version is Firefox 14.
If you upgrade your browser to the current stable version of Firefox (14), do you still have problems?

Do you perhaps have another computer at the same location with which you can test as well?

Just to make sure we are eliminating every possibility, have you tried logging out and then logging back into HubPages via both Internet Explorer 9 and Firefox 14?

                    Hi again Matthew,

I just downloaded Firefox again so assume it is the latest version and am writing from Firefox right now.  Just commented on a hub and tried to share it from that page & it still did not work.  I then went to the main page feed where I had found the hub and was able to share it that way.  Same story with IE 9.  I just can't share from the comment page to HP followers.  We do not have another computer so can't test it that way.  Everything else works fine.  I'm perplexed!

                    Hi Matthew,

All of a sudden I am once again able to share hubs with HP followers.  Perhaps after downloading the latest version of Firefox it just took a while?  I have no idea why or how, but I am a happy camper!  Thanks for your suggestions on how to fix this glitch.

      Peggy.
I am glad to hear the problem is now resolved for you!

Firefox 15 is now the latest version, so if anyone else is still having the problem, please upgrade to Firefox 15 and try clearing your cache.

I have left this thread open in case anyone else is still having issues.

I've noticed that "a lot" of items don't work here with the older browsers anymore... Just saying... big_smile

Maybe it's time HP does the browser sensor thing, and advises visitors to upgrade their browsers for better viewing, blah-blah-blah, etc.

Firefox 15 brought all the Facebook likes back.  Once I updated, they were back.  It may have coincided with the HP fixes?

My facebook link doesn't work, and why have they taken the Urls down? even if we can link to facebook, what about getting the url for things like reddit etc! confused!
