I received an email a few minutes ago saying I had been nominated for a HubNugget in the Books, Literature and Writing topic... How much would this help views, followers ect. Is it a massive achievement or just another accolade? I am very proud for the nomination for "The Longest Shadow" but how good is it really?

I was looking at a winner from last week and they had less than 10 followers and only 4 comments on the selected Hub, is this really the case?

Congratulations on your Hubnugget nomination, Jake.  It was a "massive achievement " for me, when two of my hubs were nominated and won.  I was ecstatic.  Both of my hubs got a lot of comments and HP traffic ... then.  Now it is a good day if I get one view.  Just enjoy the moment and good luck.  Cheers!  smile

It might get you some views and followers, but for the most part it's just an accolade and it's just another way of saying "good job."

I was a recent nominee too but have heard no more! It is very good to be chosen though I think!  Good luck!

Hi Jake!  Congratulations on your nomination big_smile

Why Would I Want to Be a HubNuggets Nominee?
Being nominated for the HubNuggets competition is a good experience because Hubbers will click through and read your Hub as they go through the voting process. Should your Hub be selected as a winner in your topic, it will be featured in the weekly newsletter, which is sent to tens of thousands of people! Some of these people may decide to follow you.

You can read more about the Hubnuggets in the Learning Center http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/hubnuggets

    Enjoy smile

Hi all, good to see you people discussing this topic here. Just now, I also received a mail from the team that one of my hubs "How to find good paying keywords for marketing your Hub?" is nominated in the business and  employment category. I am a new hubber and  this mail gave me a lot of encouragement. I find all the nominations interesting and useful from the view point of a new entrant in this space. My best wishes for Jake for the nomination. Thanks all.
