Studies have shown that ads above the fold are those most commonly clicked. Maybe HP should consider altering ads to be above the fold.
Ad Placements (Best to Worst): Embedded in content, top of page, right side bar, left side bar, below the fold, footer.
HubPages will show ads above the fold if you only have a text capsule at the top of your Hubs. If you opt to put a second capsule on the right-hand side of your first text capsule, you're the one making the decision to push the ads down the page.
You probably already are aware of this Whitney, but just in case, the ads look much different when viewing the page while logged out. Some ad placements cannot be seen while logged in!

I am still getting full-width Google ads in the middle of my pages, messing up the layout. The impact of this is that it looks like the Hub is only a few paragraphs long, and readers are unlikely to scroll down far enough to find the full-width ad and the text below it.This can't be good for Adsense...

Is it possible to add a feature to links within text and to the photos to opt to have the link open in a new window? This would allow the reader to stay on the original page. Bounce rates rise every time someone leaves a page before reading the entire article, for whatever reason. If relevant links...

I wrote a paragraph in a text capsule and then I wrote more under it in a recipe capsule. The space between the two in about 8 inches long. I want to bring the Recipe Capsule up to the end of the text from the Text Capsule. I have been trying to drag and drop but I can't even pick the Capsule up so...

According to information about recent Google updates ads should not be above the "fold" part of the screen. Can anyone advice how actually to do that if ads are inserted by HP automatically and the first ad on the screen is definitely above the fold. Should I "push" that ad down...

I have said this in the past, but my CTR for Google adsense has taken a turn for the worst. It seems to be getting worse and worse. I do not know why this is happening. Today was a record low for CTR for me. Does anyone else have a low click through ratio rate? (Do not post exact, not...
