I am posting this challenge in an effort to raise money for Hurricane Sandy. The challenge is simple, just write an original poem or short story about your experience with Hurricane Sandy, then place the link to one of the charities, helping the victims, in your hub. Shoot me the links once you have posted, because i will be networking this challenge like crazy.
Hello PHILLY DREAMER....Welcome back ..missed you....Living in Florida, the usual destination for Hurricanes, she chose to fly past us and move on..but I am in pain for my friends and fellow hubbers in the Northeast states...of which was once our home..will be following this challenge ..best of luck....
I hope there will be a good turn out. I'm running the challenge through my blog Random Madness Poetry. I will also mention the poets who participate in this challenge on my show. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to share the link to the piece I wrote, but you can read it in my blog page.
Here is my contribution. Thank you so much for doing this. I think it will really help!

Thanks for sharing this piece. I'll be sure to share it.
I've added a poem for the challenge as well! http://ryem.hubpages.com/hub/I-Love-the … -the-Storm
Poets. I just did some keyword research. There are people searching for poems of encouragement about Hurricane Sandy. People need our poetry to help be inspired, so let's give them what they want. Who will take up the challenge?
Still looking for more people to contribute to this challenge. The efforts are still ongoing, and with another storm on it's way, this is looking like a long winter for the victims of Hurricane Sandy. Poets, who will anser the challenge?
PHILLYDREAMER....here is my contribution to the hurricane sandy poetry challenge...thank you ..hope I did it correctly...
To everyone who has participated in this challenge. I will be reading the contributions on my show tonight. If you are interested in listening, contact me so I can give you the link for the show.
I will message you with the link to the show. It starts at 6pm EST.
I just sent you the link on your Facebook page.
thank you! I may be a bit late. I work until almost 7.
Today's show was awesome. Thank you BTRBrll and KJ Force for participating in the challenge. If anyone else has some Hurricane Sandy Poetry to share. I'll be reading them on my show all this month.
What can I say, other than THANK YOU..THANK YOU.. My G-C just got back from Martial Arts in time to hear your radio show..They couldn't believe you said my name and read my poem , " Memory of Jersey Shore ". The gesture of what you have done with this challenge is to be commended , it restores a belief in humanity, which our nation craves at this time.
When I heard my poem it brought tears to my eyes, thank you again for getting my words and the words of other writers out there to the people of the Eastern Shores, as they need the support and prayers. Have a great night..
Every contribution to the cause helps. I hope the victims of Sandy will listen and feel inspired.
Thank you also. I unfortunately didn't hear it and was unable to post it to the FB page for Gerritson Beach (I think they would have gotten a kick out of it) Since you will be doing more of them this month I will post it to them. Is it daily?
The show is weekly. The link for the show will take you to the recorded broadcast, so maybe you can still play it for them.
Thanks! will do and I will suggest they tune in weekly!
Wow! This was great! I am honored to have been a part of this. You do a great job. I sent a link through to the relief fund! I'm sure they will be thrilled! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I hope hubbers are staying aware of this massive storm today...I have family on the east coast and am worried as the waters are rising already before the storm hits.

For the second time my poetry challenges have been flagged for content violations. I do not know why people are offended by something i tried to create to help fellow poets on HubPages, but HubPages has made it clear that my challenges are not appreciated. I will be posting my future...

I do not know if this is a proper way to address this, but I am making a plea for a call to prayer for all those affected in this most dangerous storm's path (many here on HP, our friends, i.e., Colin a.k.a. Epigramman, Joseph De Cross, a.k.a. Lord De Cross, Mary (tillsontitan) from NYC and many...

I wanted to write something about the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary for my show today, but I'm having trouble organizing my thoughts. I have so many emotions on the subject I'm afraid if I open myself up to them I won't be able to stop the tears from falling. Fellow Hubbers...

Are you in the path of Hurricane Sandy and that Superstorm cold front? If so, what precautions are you taking, if any? Will you stay in your home or go somewhere perhaps safer? Do you think it will, after all this political brouhaha, disrupt the election?
