   Lonliness is the hardest and the worst of anything in this world.
   I hope once Im in college life will be brighter and an uplifting feeling for me.
   I dont think I have ever heard my parents say congratulations about getting into college of my choice or ever say Im proud of your accomplishments in High School. This is extremely annoying beyond belief. Im am the middle child of three, th eolder one has a lot of issues, (Mental, ADD/ADHD (both), Manic Bipolar Disorder) He has never been able to live on his own never was greatful of appreicative of anything anyone has ver done for him that's for sure. Anyway Im the first one to go to college and have my future under control and such! All Iever wanted was my parents to be proud of me. Can they at least take two seconds to say it to my face?

   I'm proud of you... really! I went to college and dropped out but I should of stayed in. My sister is going to college now and I'm proud of her and any other person who is in college because it's a wonderfull thing. Don't fight for your parents verbal approval, they probably feel very proud of you they just don't express it. Do your own thing and be happy.

   sassy, I am proud of you and sometimes parents are proud they just don't know how to say it, or show it and that is also due to their upbringing, you must forgive them as I am certain that they love you and are very proud of you. Be all you can be and remember when you have children to change the cycle and dysfunction and do everything you wish that your parents would have done for you. Do not be angry at them but forgive them.

      Thank You. Its just hard when you're the middle child and you want your parents to engage more. And then they turn around and say that they dont have a close relationship with you and they want you to talk more to them. I havent said much about anything cuz to me they seem to have other things that they are doing. My parents especially my mom are really judgemental about everything. It drives me nuts. I think that this really restricted my mother from trying new things or kept her from doing things different. I dont say much of anything and then when I do my parents act stupid. or something

         Your parents love you and sometimes parents don't understand what their children are thinking , at a certain point in life they also become your friend. Share your thoughts and do not be afraid to open up, tell your mom how you feel and it may take sometime for her to warm up but she carried you in her womb for 9 months so she sincerely does love you.

   Congratulations! I promise you will love college. It's full of people of all ages and races. You will make friends with not just your fellow students but with the teachers. You will gain new knowledge and skills and have every right to be proud of yourself and if you stumble ...don't worry ... you can take it again...lots of other people are doing the same thing and the hard work is all your own. Smile! it will be fun. Deep inside, I think your parents are proud ...parents do get sidetracked and stressed out with external stuff...bills, food, clothes, repairs, overall needs of the family. It's difficult I know. My mom use to get on my case for not bringing home a A if I got a B I know how it feels but we can't choose our parents but we can choose for ourselves after all is said n done, it will be your life once you leave home and control will be in your own hands.

   Thank you guys! That helps me a lot!
   Now Im just hanging in here while I finish high school. Im so ready to be done. I could have taken the three courses I needed to graduate and leave early but my parents didnt want me too. Apparently they like to see me suffer or something because it's pissing me off and Im not a happy person right now. My parents will never really get the picture about how unhappy I I am.

   Ah I like what you said. I want to tell you that I am adopted from India. I dont know my bio parents or anything. My mom and I are completely different people. She is extremely judgemental about the things that I do or how I act.
