I am SO excited and proud! My son has just released his very first iphone game.
Hope you don't mind me sharing....I'm bursting with excitement for him.
Congratulations to you both !!!! I SEE MANY DOLLAR SIGNS IN YOUR FUTURE !!!!
Congratulations to your son. That is exciting news Thank you for sharing.
What's the name of the app and how are they sold? Can we fellow hubbers help him out by writing a hub about his game? Just a thought...
Thanks so much for your comments and thoughts.
Apps are sold on the iphone website. If you're into word games and feel like writing an article, feel free.
The game is called wooords - it's very much like those games we all (???) used to play on the frig with magnetic letters....rearranging them to make new words. You can earn points and play with others. Its a VERY cool spin on an old game to bring it into the new digital age.
Appreciate your comments.
I had a look and it looks great. Unfortunately I don't have an iphone or anything so modern, so can't actually try it out. I think someone else who is more hip than me should write a review because all I'd be doing to re-wording someone else's review which isn't really the way to do it.
It's getting rave reviews by the way!
Congratulations to him! And to you - it is great being a proud mama (though my kids are so young that we crow over crayola drawings and not software creation)!
Thanks so much.
Nothing wrong with getting excited about Crayola drawings - that's where all this creativity starts!
That's definitely something to celebrate.Always nice to hear about good news and achievement. I hope it's a big success
Thanks Rob. I hope its a success too - he deserves it!
Getting it to market took up many many hours of his weekend along with foregone holidays to get it done so my fingers (and toes) are crossed for it to be a flier!
Haha MMW - not at all sure about $$$ for me but I hope his efforts are rewarded from this word game.
Congratulations, proud Mommy! It's so wonderful when our kids start to do well.
Thanks so much RedElf. What I find so wonderful is their commitment and focus on doing something that is their passion!
I could, and have, learned a lot from my kids.
It warms my heart to hear how proud a mother can be of a child! Congrats to you both!
Very nice you proud mum you!
It means everything to kids when they get support. For example one day they may make an app for iphone... that's pretty darn good!
Congratulations to both of you.
LOL EH. You are very funny.....
Now, I'm gonna have to seriously consider getting an iphone so I can play it! It's VERY cool and has had great reviews.
I will keep my kangaroo's legs crossed for you.
If it got good reviews that is HUGE!
I hope he replaces Bill Gates, Bill is more interested in spending it
than making it now, he need more time for his charitable work.
Tell your son it's time to step up and give poor old Bill a break!
Congrats to your kid for getting this done and on the market - so many try and fail to keep at it long enough - good on him !!
Why don't you put the game name on here so that me (and others) can go take a look at it - it would not be promotional of course, just helping the likes of me who have no idea of what an iphone is, let alone what a game would look like !
How are things in your part of the world?
You are so right its taken a very long time to get it to market, then apple needed to approve it before allowing it on their site. All of that's done now though. So that's another reason why I'm very excited for him.
I know you have NO idea what an iphone is - me neither - () .... but just in case you do, its a word game and its called wooords.
Wow...very exciting. Congrats! 1820 posts - that's exciting too. Wow! I hope I get to that number some day. Thanks for sharing.
Thats awesome news, when he makes an App that makes coffee, I will be the first to sign up for it
That's great aha, congrats! I've heard many people who become rich gurus selling one dollar iPhone apps! Wish him luck!
Cheers Harrison - I hope he does make it rich - need a awful lot of sales at a buck a game though! Mind you, if you're not in the game you can't win!
It took me awhile to realise I needed to go it itunes.apple.com first then look for wooords but here it is.
To everyone else a BIG thank you for being so excited with me. You are great.
