I have created my first hub, and have just been looking on amazon here

and it offers the HTML code to add a drop down search box on your hub... but when i try to add a text capsule to my hub then edit the HTML it wont let me and says "HTML will be cleaned up" as only certain things are allowed or something.... HELP!

You can't use the HTML code that Amazon give you. Use an Amazon capsule, and you copy and paste in the ASIN/ISBN of your chosen product/book.

You put your Amazon Associate affiliate code in here: http://hubpages.com/my/affiliate

So when you put the ASINs in your Amazon Capsule it'll be linked to your Associate account.

When you put an Amazon capsule in your hub, edit it - you'll see a screen that gives you a choice of choosing your own specific product or of typing in a keyword and letting Amazon pick for you.

If you want to choose a specific product, you'll have to find it on Amazon, it's usually down the page a bit, in with the specs and info for the product.  Copy that ASIN/ISBN number into the Amazon capsule in the appropriate place.

      Save, and voila!

I found when in the Amazon associates to get products...I use the *Text* link and paste it into my Amazon capsule. Then my little product shows up. smile
