   Did anyone else get subjected to this torture as a kid?  I actually got in trouble for going on strike during one lengthy and excruciating series of having it played. The 'girl' push-ups were painful & hurt my knees.

         You had to be there, Habee, truly.  The pictures in this clip are priceless.
         
         I think we had an later version of the song - I don't remember it until way after the year it was supposedly released.  I do remember refusing to do the push-ups the third or fourth time the stupid record came to that part.  My knees hurt from doing them on a hard floor.  The teacher got mad & demanded to know why I wasn't doing them & I told her I didn't have any chicken fat, so I wasn't going to do them.
         
         The vice-principal got involved, and ordered me to write an essay about PE.  Heh-heh-heh. I was a budding writer, even back then.  So I wrote about what a waste of time it was to have PE.

   Yes! I vividly remember this song and having to do the exercises during PE! We hated it! We always wondered why we had to do this dumb record. Dodgeball was so much more fun and lots more exercise. One of my best and most useless talents is being able to remember the words to just about any song or jingle EVER and I certainly do remember every single word of this song. Ugh. Wish I didn't.

      Those words are burned in my mind, too.  I hated that PE teacher for trying to force that junk on us. And I was not out-of-shape, so it was doubly irksome.
