Make Money started a thread in the religion forum in which he will be posting a new Christmas song every day. Let's have a thread in here that does the same, for those who avoid the religion forums.
No discussion (ie arguments) about religion and posting of pictures is allowed!
I know Christmas is a Christian holiday but not everyone who celebrates Christmas is a Christian. It is my favorite holiday even though I am not religious at all. Like it or not, it is part of our Western culture. I went to church as a child and my favorite part was the music.
Make Money posted O Holy Night so I'll post another of my favorite Christmas carols.
Mary's Boy Child
I have always liked Silent Night. It was put together in Austria and came to England with Albert when he married Queen Victoria. He also started the Christmas tree tradition and the giving of wrapped Christmas presents.
In the USA migrants from Austria, Germany and Italy brought their Christmas traditions to the new country. Among them was the ginger bread man, the Christmas tree and wrapped Christmas presents.
Silent Night was translated from the German into English. On the Western Front on Christmas Day 1914 the Germans sang Silent Night in their language and British soldiers joined in with the English version. I like the story. I also like the carol.
Okay i found one I like. Enya singing Silent Night in Irish!
A little venting...I was all ready to watch a Charlie Brown Christmas and guess what is on...a speech by Obama. I know it's important but...why tonight?
AAAA No one takes over Charlie Brown's time! How rude!
This is off the subject, but very disappointed more troops going in! Canada sending any more??
I don't think so. But, at least the war is where it should have been for the past 8 years. Canada is set to withdraw in 2011 and Obama says the US will too.
And putting SYTYCD back 1/2 hour or more, interrupting my bedtime!
Off to find a Christmas song.
"Oh Holy Night" by Celine...very nice. Oh and how about Oh Christmas Tree?
A song for Charlie Brown!
Johnny Mathis "It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year"
(I have a hub with 22 of my favorite Christmas song YouTube videos if anyone's interested)
One of my Christmas delights. the bells, ding dong:D
transiberian orchestra Christmas eve sarajevo

Lot of people might disagree with me but I like this one too"Little Drummer Boy", David Bowie and Bing Crosby
here is a beautiful christmas theme from the movie, The Holiday.
enjoy, it's very beautiful
Sadly...but not unexpectedly, the thread in the religion forum as disintegrated into attacks and counterattacks
Here is a happy Christmas song...
And this is another of my favorite Christmas songs.
Father Christmas / Greg Lake
(Supposedly Glenn Beck hates this...)

I'm doing some research on a specific songwriter/producer who has written/co-written many Top 40 hits for top performers. Out of these 5 songs, which one is your favorite? These were/are hugely successful songs....

Just for you, ParadigmSearch.Did anyone else get subjected to this torture as a kid? I actually got in trouble for going on strike during one lengthy and excruciating series of having it played. The 'girl'...
