Hello. My name is Dawn Dees, and I am new to HubPages. While creating my new account, I noticed within the pop-up on the website for the password prompt, an error in spelling. The word "distinctive" has a couple of crossed up letters. I thought you all may want to have someone take a look at that since this is a publisher's website.
Thank you for your consideration.
Respectfully,
Meshico Dawn Dees
It sounds like you maybe referring to the RECAPTCHA we use to make sure things are not posted by bots.
This is an intentional security measure.
You can find out more about RECAPTCHAs here.

I just checked and this typo has not been fixed.
Thank you Matthew. I appreciate your timely response.
I understand that web design issues do arise, and that there are costs involved with the rendering of such. I am new and have no clout within this community as of yet. There is a world of knowledge and leadership within this particular forum hosting site, and I am particularly fond of being a member. The error is apparent when you go to the "Signup For Hubpages" page; after which you are prompted to enter your username, then, enter your Email address, then click on the box for entering your password. When you click on the box for your information related to choosing your password for this site, there is a pop up box to the right of the page that suggests how to choose a password. In this suggestive box, the word "distinctive" is misspelled. In said box, the word is spelled "disticintive". This is commonly overlooked and I can understand why, maybe, you thought I was referring to the RECAPTCHA which is also commonly misspelled.
Thank you for your time.
Respectfully,
Meshico Dawn Dees
Thank you for the clarification.
I will make sure we fix the typo.
I appreciate your taking time to bring it to our attention.
While you are fixing typos Matthew, the MTurk bonus letter is outdated. Please get on that.

You are welcome. It is my pleasure; simply dumb luck that I caught it.
Have a pleasant night.
Dawn,
This has been forwarded to our engineering team.
It should be a simple fix, so it will hopefully be addressed in our next build.
Thanks again.
Excellent! That just tickles me pink that I was able to give you all something else to do. Thank you Matthew. I am happy to know right off the rip, that there *really* is a support team at HubPages.
I will keep my eyes opened for more opportunities to help make the HubPages site überfanatically-wonderiffic!
Sincerely,
Meshico Dawn Dees

I give! I've searched the first 3 or 4 pages of "Getting Help" Forum and I've read the entire Link's Capsule section in the Learning Center (http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/using-hubtool). That Hub, by the way, has a large number of Quick Links in it. How do you create a list of topics...

I stopped receiving e-mails of any kind from HP during the past few days. I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this snafu. It's especially odd since when I tried to change my password, I received the following error message: "This e-mail address has already been used to...

Since there seem to be a lot of Kontera related questions, I've asked someone from the their team to come answer questions in our forum for the next day or two. They'll be able to provide more in depth and accurate responses than I can acting as an intermediary. So if you have any Kontera...

This is not so much for discussion, rather, I need an immediate help from any experienced Hubbers. I am a new member and have just posted my first Hub. I am ready to share with friends, but there is no Follow button on my profile page. Instead I see Edit Profile where Follow button should be. I...

I recently created a new hub about PageRank and after I published it I remembered that it should be PageRank instead of the Page Rank that I used in my URL. I really felt like crying as it is a long hub and would be a lot of work to move to a new hub.But then to make the issues more confusing and...
