I am planning to move to Arnold, Ca., from Bishop-near Mammoth Lakes very soon! Really excited because I've lived here for 19+ years and it's a dry desert. Arnold is just Northwest of Yosemite with trees, few neighbors, and SNOW! Yeah!
Did you know that some owls are not wise?
LOL... (I love that commercial).
How come Im the only one up this time of night? Every night?
Is there some kind of rule that writers have to go to bed by 8:30 pm?
If so... does that mean Im not a writer? Is that why all my hubs are slowly being unfeatured?
So now I have no featured hubs *and* Im isolated.
Surely there is one more sub-par writer out there who doesn't go to bed when they're s'posed to.
Where are all the rebels?
really... anything at all.
Do you like the color beige?
Do you loathe the dentist?
This would be a good time to share.
Im here for you.
“I had an inheritance from my father,
It was the moon and the sun.
And though I roam all over the world,
The spending of it’s never done.”
― Ernest Hemingway, For Whom the Bell Tolls
Not only were you the first (and possibly only person to post) but you said something interesting... and beautiful. You're my new favorite earthling!
Aww, thank you! just finished reading that book last night...it was excellent.
Really? Do adults read classics? lol
I thought ppl only read those in high school and college. Maybe you're one of those young ppl. I will watch what I say.
No, not young (I wish), I just ran out of things to read and found a couple of Hemingways in my library I had overlooked, just started The Sun Also Rises. I cannot function if I don't have something (good) to read.
Ill read anything... I hate that. If I don't have anything good, Ill just read anything... no matter the drivel. I find myself drawn to non-fiction... biographies are my favorite. I just love hearing ppl's stories.
Is it late where you are? Where are you?
I love biographies! And yes, I will read whatever is available...It is 10:42 pm Vancouver Island time lol.
Oh, it's 12:45 am Sunday here in Tn, but by the time you read this it will probably be 12:46 am... I don't want you to think me an unreliable source.
What is tomorrow like? I want to know what to expect. Should I just stay in bed?
Alright. Im giving up the ship. Off to bed. Have a great night. So glad you posted on my sad little thread. Night!
Good night Beth, sweet dreams...
11:19 pm, I'm signing out.
What's tomorrow like? About 45 Celsius (113F) and max humidity, but probably not where you are. Be thankful
I have so much to do it's not even funny. I'm considering dealing with these pressing tasks by watching Parks and Recreation reruns and writing on this forum until I've run out of time to do these incredibly important chores. I wonder if ostriches ever commit suicide... hmmmm.
I'm a composer by profession. I have two accounts here, this one and one the focuses on my music and endeavors in the arts. When my eyes glaze over from boredom of Panda slaps, SEO, and other things, I simply say, "If it ain't quarter notes, I don't get it." And then I try to work on my composing and publishing projects.
When I'm intolerable and incorrigible to one of my dear friends, he reminds that, "They should have killed you at birth and sold the milk."
Other than that, my life is pretty normal.
I just finished 48 oz. of Pabst Blue Ribbon. I'm feeling quite bloated. (BELLLLCH!)

I think HubPages is just a terrific opportunity for writers to write and make connections within the HubPages community. However, I am concerned about the quality of some of the hubs I see. Even if the writing is fresh and lively, if the spelling, punctuation, or grammar are poor, then...

Okay, I don't care what background, what degree, or lack of anything you possess. I want to start a literary debate. And we will start easy, which Lost Generation writer was the best? Hemingway? Fitzgerald? Stein? Cummings? Eliot? Joyce? Miller? Nin? Anyone whose fame was between the end of WWI til...

Do you have any interest in reading history books? If no, why not? If yes, what kinds of books?

Recently I started second sub domain here at HP. I placed a few ads on one of the articles I wrote. When reading a hub from another poster, I saw those same ads on her hub! So, here is my question: If my ads appear on somebody else's hub, and a reader clicks on them,...
