I've just completed a DMCA report on this blog: newsqworld.blogspot.com. It appears to be nearly entirely composed of content scraped from HubPages, both text and photos are included in their entirety. That blog alone killed nearly all traffic to my best-performing hub. Just a heads-up as many of you may also be affected. Please accept my apologies in advance if someone has already posted a discussion on this site.

Thank you for your email MJ! I hope Google takes your complaint seriously! I find it a compliment that someone likes my writing enough to steal it.
Did you see it listed in the search results?
I checked the site and it navigates very poorly. The two hubs I checked from the home page were hubbers, ripplemaker and jmartin1344 about singing and netflix. When I inserted the text into the search box, the scraper website did not appear in the results.
When I did a search from the internal search box on the site, it didn't work.
Thanks for letting us know.
Hi, Rebekah,
Yes, I found it by doing a content search. It was in second place on search results using the "search with Google" right-click function (iMac). Thanks for taking a look at it.
Even my copyright notice was included in their scraping but they had changed the title.
An article is copied from hubber Ghost 32 on world without borders. I briefly looked at the site.
There are so many stolen hubs there -- some even begin with a heading referring to Hubpages -- but I didn't track enough of them down to be very helpful to many people. As an update, after I filed my DMCA report, it took 11 days (including weekends) for my material to be removed, but at least it is now gone. I hope others are filing complaints as well.
Thanks -- MJ
I found my scraped hub by accident. Sometimes the bloggers site doesn't show up. His name is Mizzie Muhammad
There is a way programmers at HP could fix this but we pay for it with google.
Its called anti click. It means all text is unclickable and there fore can not be anything but copied by hand. I think its a way to fix this. But I think googles web crawlers need to archive text only versions of all of our content and I think unclickables make that imposable.
Sorry to hear your hub as so many others has been stolen.
Thanks Epsonok0. I wasn't aware that anti-click existed. I'm afraid I can't move fast enough to keep up with technology!
Best wishes -- MJ
Ya, I run several blogs that I programmed or helped program and we were offered anti click. After we conceived a writing community for free thinkers. Like hypothetical things. But Anti click is realy hard to implement. So untill then I guess we all have to keep our eyes on google and do searches for our work to ensure that its not stolen. Maybe google will start monitoring repeat information like when two sites have more than one sentence in common. Until then they like to keep there heads in the sand all warm and snug.

Marina and moderators,I was reading a hub that was categorized under affiliate marketing and was very disturbed to see the Google ads at the bottom promoting a scraping site, as shown here:The hub itself was legitimate and had nothing to do with scraping from other pages or sites. Is this...

When searching for unscrupulously borrowed copies of my work sometimes I come across results that don't seem to really be there. Even though I search for a sentence in quotes, and the SERPs shows that quote in my results, when I click on the link either the text isn't really there, or I get a...

I do not know if this is the right place to post this question, since I do not know if this is a tech or other question, I just know that something is wrong with my latest hub, (written a week ago) in my Google search, it came up in the results, in a totally different -(not mine)- hub, ...

Many of us have had problems recently and historically with Google rankings and traffic. It's of course a huge issue for all online writers but especially those of us who depend upon it for a living. What happens, however, when Google's top search results are proven to be wholly inaccurate and...

I quick search has shown that it is very hard to stop copying and scraping of articles - that is up to HP - But it is certainly worth doing and HP should implement it, even if it only stops 50%. Users could report the copiers and they could be added to the banned bot list. But what can an author do...
