    Question to the software team:

For those of us who have more than one site to run Adsense on, do we have to set Hubpages as our primary domain when we configure the link, or you guys have the piece of code embedded and we can set another domain primary?

    Thanks smile

im not with the software team....but i have approx 50 sites besides hubs that carry my pub id.

all the hub software seems to do is serve your pub id (60% of the time) in their ad servers

this has no standing on any other uses you may use your adsense ads for

on a sidenote - my stats how a large diff between hub page views and impressions gen by adsense ..on the neg side for me

and my primary domain in adsense is a page that I started almost 5 years ago...and is no longer devoloped in any way...doesnt seem to be relavant

Sunforged, you obviously did not try to link Adsense and GA, or you just did not pay attention to what you were doing smile

On step 3 it gives you the snippet of code for every one of your sites but the one you declare primary for that purpose, and you are supposed to insert this code for the link to work for those sites...

didnt see the title adsense-analytics title and how that referred to your question until your response - so perhaps all the following is irrelevant

I have all of my regular sites set up to analytics - but you are correct I do not have my adsense modules and  analytics connected...I use my site base tracking software to view all click out and hope they are leading to a high paying lead - not a couple cent adsense click

adsense is not even close to my main income generator for web pages - as i focus on affiliate marketing

but I use wordpress for the majority of my sites and blogspot for my blogfarms...both which have integrated adsense plug ins-(and wordpress has integarted analytics and seo optimization plug ins)that only require the pub id. So its very rare that i ever create an adsense module by hand

But you have lost me...step 3? The javascript for your adssense unit  "save and get adcode"

      adsense steps -->

Choose Ad Format and Colors       >       Choose Ad Channels       >       Save and Get Ad Code

      analytics steps ->

      1. create new website profile --> (new domain or existing domain)

(if this was the question..you would be creating a new domain)

It kind of sounds like you are asking about analytics then? and you are asking about the tracking javascript? and not about adsense and your publisher id?

I bet if you told me what your trying to do... i could forward you to soem sort of software or program that would automate the process for you and make your concern moot anyway

I build a new page on average every 3 days - if i was still creating individually adsense units manually I would have gave up along time ago....its good to learn the automation techniques early

and i was suggesting that my pub id is not being served 60% of the time as my hub created analytics show far less views than the inhub stats show...but maybe, just maybe I visit it my own pages way more than I think...and those pv would not be counted by analytics- but prob would by hubs

LOL Sunforged, try to link them yourself, and you'll see what I mean by step 3 smile

They give you a small snippet of code different from adsense and regular GA you need to insert into every site but primary.

    Paul/Larry/Fawntia,

I thought this is a question of interest to many, hence posted this on forums instead of emailing you guys. Will appreciate your answer.

    Thanks, Misha

Ummm, I am wondering if they took a vacation altogether? Is it that hard to say yes or no, so we don't have to guess? Or just  - hold on, we are working on it? Helloooo?

We have integrated Adsense and Analytics - HubPages will not work unless it is the primary domain, so we have it as our primary domain.

That said, we are struggling to make sense of the data once it IS integrated - the numbers don't align terribly well. Perhaps it was better when they were separate and we could labor under the illusion they were both accurate ... smile

    Anyways, soldiering on ...

hi misha can i ask. I have a problem with google adsense coz they sent me late notification. I think I was wrong in fixing my adsense code so  I cannot log in to my google account. what maybe the problem?  and I dont want to make a new account. If Google adsense will not give me another adsense code then im afraid I cannot published any Hubs at all.

      Thanks

Just saw your reply Jenny, thanks for sharing your experience smile

Hi LadyVenus, sorry, I am not sure I understand your question. What is late notification? Never received one. It might help if you open a separate thread for this, there might be other people who had similar experience and can help you. smile

Hi misha what I meant by late notification is that the Hub team sent me a message informing me that I still did not post the adsense code to my HTML . But before I received their mail I already tried to copy the adsense code and I think I did it wrongly and that is why I'm thinking that this might be the reason why I cannot log in to my account. If this happen it might be minus points if I loss adsense. What shld. I do?

      Thanks

If I understood you correctly, you did not properly configure you Adsense on Hubpages. Please go here http://hubpages.com/help/googleadsense and scroll down to the Step 2, it tells you how to hook up an existing Adsense account to Hubpages.

Login to Adsense is fully different, and nobody here have any control over it. Start with this page, and see if it can solve your problem https://www.google.com/adsense/support/ … &hl=en

I finally got the link on my Adsense page, urging me to integrate Adsense with Analytics.

It means I have to update the tracking code in my websites and I can't really be bothered unless it's going to be of some benefit.

Has anybody done it yet (either for HP or other sites) and was it worth it?

Consider creating a new forum topic instead."   hmm, thats a cool new feature, but Im bringing it back anyway as I specifically searched for this thread.

Maybe this time, we can get some hubadmin support.

Misha, did you ever figure this out?

As I so naively showed adsense was a very small part of my IM efforts and i had no idea what you were talking about. Butover the last couple of months its been a good fallback for my 75 plus domains that I cant develop quickly enough

So now I would like to link the two also

Anybody care to share if and how this was implemented for them

Jennypub, did the stat differences work themselves out? (Obviously, there would be 40% more views in analytics than adesense, right smile  )
