Hello,
I noticed that the adsense ad on the right column and the ad on the very bottom are not displaying on anywone's hub (at least when I look), and instead there is a page not found error showing in their places. The 2 adsense ads closest to the top of the page are showing.
Also, hubpages appears to be violating the Adsense TOS by attempting to display 1) 4 adsense units when the maximum allows is three per page and 2) occasionally displaying Yahoo and MSN contextual ads on the same page as adsense ads. Since the Yahoo and MSN ads are contextual and look a lot like the Google ads, they violate Adsense TOS I think. I am concerned that this may actually get us hubbers banned if these violations occur when our adsense ID is being displayed.
Anyone else noticed these problems?
It's true that AdSense allows 3 ads per page and 2 text ads. We'll look into this. Adsense handles it automatically and won't serve a 4th ad unless you have a special adsense setting. We don't have that - although we do get access to some new programs.
We always treat our relationships with ad networks as critical and will not jeopardize them.
Many of our editorial policies are designed so we are an advertiser friendly site. The most important thing when working with ad networks is high quality content.
The authors share is always done a page basis so we don't mix accounts and impressions. The agreements HubPages has are separate from authors. And. Each author has their own agreements as well. So, our accounts are all separate, accept that Google provides us API access to help place ads. We never place other ad networks on the authors share.
As we work to bring more monetization options to the HubPages author share, we will work to ensure that their accounts are within the ToS as well.
I have noticed that adsense ads are not showing on my hubs. When I look at the adsense settings under "my account" it is showing "modify". When I click on it - for some reason it looks like I am not signed up for adsense. I am receiving revenue from Google so I do not understand what I am reading.
I have read through the forums and this thread is as close as I can get to my experience. If anyone knows what is going on please let me know what it is. Thanks
If your logged into hubpages, you won't see ads, try logging out and refreshing one of you hubs. Hope this helps,
Andre
I have had entirely the opposite experience I have blocked Google, ads entirely, and at first they went off, now for some reason some of them are back, and causing problems, when you click them, as they are pasted over my icon, and contact details.
Don't know about you, but the revenue is just not worth the hassle, and at the end of the day, they can just disable you, and keep your money.
How did you block Google ad's? Surely there back because every page on Hubpages has ad's on, because the site has to make money some how and Ads are how they do it.
If you aim to make a living off Google ad's, then yes it might be to much hassle, but if you write for the fun and love of it, rather than searching for the holy $$$'s than it doesn't become a hassle. Oh, and you won't get banned by Google unless you break the TOS, so if your doing nothing wrong, you have nothing to worry about. (Not trying to imply you would be doing anything wrong!)
You can still see Adsense ads when logged into hubpages. It's Kontera that you can't see when logged in.
Debbie, It could be that the the cookie or something is blocked on that computer so that you can't see the ads. Some people have stuff like that blocked. Just a guess though.
I show the same thing on my page for adsense - it says Modify - when I got in touch with hubpages staff I was told that I have to talk to Google, then google told me that I have an active publisher account with them for that site!
However it's not clear to me yet HOW'S monetizing on my HUB PAGES for Google ads since mine doesn't look active!?????????
Any suggestions or ideas?
Thank you, Carolina
Are the Yahoo and MSN contextual ads displaying on hubpages on experimental basis or we may as well be making money out of them?

Is google adsense only paying for clicks and not impressions? My adsense earnings have almost gone down to nothing. Has anyone else experienced this?

I just disabled Hubpages ad program last week to test out how much I would earn/lose if I just kept Adsense. My page views are not counting--the articles viewed showing on my account in Hubpages is more than what Adsense is picking up, by a large number. I checked and Hubpages is linked...

Okay - It seems there was an update to the definition of our earnings. I cannot say when it occurred.Basically we are paid for pageviews. One payment per view of article, regardless of how many ads are delivered to the reader, unless they back out before the first ad is actually viewed. Then we...

I'm having the hardest time trying to figure out Google Adsense. I applied for it, I was accepted, and it said ads will begin to appear in one of my hubs. In my account the earnings program is active and so is Google Adsense. The question is, do I have to do anything to add Google Adsense to my...

A couple days back I was following a thread (Link Here) where SunSeven was talking about a hub that was taken down because the ads "started showing Google Public Interest" ads.Nelle Hoxie made a comment about how that stuff is bad and can cost you your adsense account. ...
