Why are not the adsense ad unit in my hubs showing contextual ads?
I'm seeing irrelevant ads in the adsense ad slot in my hubs. Why? The ads are supposed to be relevant to the contents. But the ads I've seen today are totally not relevant to the contents of the respective hubs.
I'm new to HP but I've noticed this too. In my case, the ads are based on my recent Google search history, which have nothing to do with my hubs. Not sure what the user sees, but if they find my hubs via a search there's a better chance they're seeing relevant ads.
Make sure your crawler is working on adsense. Go under account settings, then under Access and authorization. Make sure that adsense has to access to HubPages through your account. When they do they have what is called a crawler that will look at your Hub and match the ads for that Hub.
My adsense crawler had no access to hubpages through my adsense account. So I did that as you advised. Thanks. Let's see what happens next. I'll let you and others know about it.
Adsense place ads which have little to do with your content. They go by region, what you have searched for as well as what others have searched for. Don't you just love writing an article on health, and having an add selling draperies plastered on it? Nothing can be done about it.
