I just logged into my Squidoo account and all the views are in single digits! There was a time when I was making $100 a month on just one lense! How is it that I can make more posting rubbish on Bubblews in a day than in a month with multiple high quality lenses on Squidoo?

I was trying to have a go of it at Squidoo, but it's going nowhere. I think I'm going to have to take my articles off of there and move them.
I was trying to write for squidoo and I find it really hard and till now I love hubpages more than squidoo. But i have read some lens there that they are earning thousands of dollars monthly.
How much brand-new content are you posting there? Because if you aren't, that's your answer.
Before even when I was submitting new content views were falling, I moved lots of stuff here and it does much better. Is Squidoo still good for you?
It was brand new and they just locked it up! So I am concentrating here on hubpages.
I just like it battered and deep fried with a chilli and garlic mayo. :-)
Dead squid, dead squid, what'choo gonna do? What'choo gonna do, what'choo gonna do with a dead squid.... ewwwwww!!
I wasn't getting anywhere with Squidoo either, even after three years! So just a few months ago I closed my account. Waste of time.
What did you do with the content? Move it or just delete it?
Deleted it. I just got sick of my wasted efforts.
There have been many reports that both HubPages and Squidoo were dead, at one time or another. Neither site is as good as it used to be, but they're not finished either.
I believe that on Squidoo (unlike here), interaction in the community is essential to keep your account afloat.
I don't write on Squidoo but I believe getting "likes" from the community is important. Greekgeek wrote a good article on Squidoo which I think is still relevant:
http://greekgeek.hubpages.com/hub/how-i … on-squidoo
I was kinda half joking. I mean here on HP the forums give more of a community feel, I am starting to recognise people here (including you!) and have even had questions answered by HP staff. On Squidoo if you have a problem or question which is not already answered on the site your on your own!
Really? Is it new? Can you post the link.
Thanks
You're right. I'm still here on HubPages because of the community - I haven't found anything like it on any other writing platform. The difference is that community participation on HubPages doesn't help you make money, whereas on some other sites, it does.
and here I thought you just stayed for the bad jokes Marisa, lol.
Bubblews is all about interacting within the community. It's easy to make some money if you "know" a lot of people on the site. Squidoo has gone way down in earnings because of their tier payments, but during the holidays I have been making some decent sales.
Users' participation within the site is very much essential for the site to grow. I lost my hope on Squid completely, deleted many articles from there.
Even here on HP we need more users' participation for a better tomorrow, we can't just depend on outside promotion for the hub to raise and run better on SERP... I am glad, i can still see the active users here and their participation.
I dropped by my account for the first time in months. They must really be desperate over there. Not only is my one-and-only lens still featured, it actually earned 25 cents. Maybe if they were willing to give me some sort of enticement, I might be willing to help them try to get out of the Google doghouse.
The corporate jet will be heading your way stuffed with gold (or at least a hang glider full of promises) to seek your wisdom.
I think they need a name change for starters. The squid is off...
I have one lens under 10,000 rank. I cross my fingers that it stays that way until the end of the month. I went from over 50 lens to only 5 because Squidoo didn't like most of them. I didn't know why this one was any different. I have a wait-and-see attitude.

After over a month of careful watching, here is what I have observed as an HP writer;1- My "reads" on HP are steady at 400+ daily.2- Google (US, AU, NE, UK, CA, etc) have all but abandoned my articles with a dramatic decrease in Google Traffic. 3- All of my other sources of traffic are...

Yep. The lines crossed. I said it would. And it did. I truly am a legend in my own mind. http://www.quantcast.com/hubpages.comhttp://www.quantcast.com/squidoo.comQuite bluntly... You don't like HP? Then leave.

Big news today, Hubbers! Over the next several weeks, HubPages will be acquiring key content from Squidoo. Please be sure to read Paul Edmondson's blog post and our recently published FAQ (or Squidoo's blog post and FAQ) for more details. Feel free to post any questions you have...

Just for a bit of background - I have been writing online for years, and literally have millions of words "out there". Only once did I have an AdSense account, and if I remember correctly, it was for a blog that is rarely used. It still appears, if I right-click on the blog, and view the...

According to Paul Deeds' forum post, transfers of articles on Squidoo are beginning today. Has anyone had their account transferred yet? If so, how did it go?http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/123836? … ost2621573

See this article where they say they are experimenting with staff accounts:http://www.squidoohq.com/2011/09/13/wer … -accounts/I think they are prompted by the fact that HP appears to be slowly moving out of teh Panda penalty (albeit with some accounts seeing wild movements). Here's...
