Hey, after struggling to find the meaning of Life (Hubber Score) for years, I have finally stumbled upon it. Follow 3-5 new people every day for a week of so - no more than this or you will fail. Try it!.
I lost two points in a matter of hours.
Why do they play with my emotions like this John?
I thought following too many people lowers your score. ?????
And here I thought you were interested in finding out things that might help your JRT/Maltese cross. Oh well.
Beatnick knows German! Whenever we are travelling on outback roads My JRT/Maltese cross named 'Beatnick' can anticipate rattly wooden bridge crossings over creeks, well in advance, probably by smell. He gets all excited and bounces about just loving the sound made by the car. One day we picked up some German backpackers, and we said to them, whenever you see a bridge ahead say "Brücke" - German for bridge, the smart dog will understand. Sure enough, right on cue, when the Germans saw a bridge and said the magic word, up jumped Beatnick and bounded about hanging out the window for the rattle of boards. They were very impressed! Smart Dog, knows German!
Cool! I am training a puppy in German right now, will have to add that word to her vocabulary. We only have one bridge, though, on the southern part of the island...maybe I will just teach her to figure out the hubber score instead. That would probably be easier.
Yep, she is all yours. If you send me a box and $199.99 for shipping I will put her on a plane for the US.
Awww, he's so cute! He is worth a million.

Another Beatnick story, while I'm trying to get my forum contribution above quota for HubberScore - When we moved house and said goodbye to our neighbors, they said that they would miss the daily visits by Beatnick. He would sneak under the fence each day unknown to us, after we left, and spend time with the neighbor. They said that Beatnick would only stay a couple of hours, so he would always be there waiting at the gate when we got home, and not get sprung!
Hooray! I was wondering if anyone would ever crack that code!!!
Hubber score = [Average Hub score x 1.125] + [# forum posts in last week x 0.2] + [# comments in last week x 0.3] + [4 X daily average visits per hub] + [av number of daily follow requests in last week less than 5 /2] - [number of daily follow requests in last week greater than 5 x 2] - [ 2 x Average number of hubs published in the last week that exceeds 7] + various other factors ► tune in for updates!!
PS note the negatives!
Gee, I always thought it was reading a few hubs from each days notification and answering comments.

I'd like to suggest we get rid of Hubber Score - and perhaps even Hub Scores. They:- are constantly misunderstood;- cause a lot of upset and grief in the forums; and- encourage newbie Hubbers to direct their efforts in entirely wrong directionsFor instance, I've known newbie Hubbers stop...

Who thinks we should ask to reinstate a page dedicated to locating hubbers by hubber score. Beginning with 100-0.We once had such a page here that made the hubber score much more relevant, and we could at least get a chance to locate the top hubbers who most definitely deserved high praise for...

This system of hubber scoring is really disgusting. Hubbers posting hubs are assigned low hubber score for several reasons but hubbers without publishing a single hub are participating in forums and have hubber scores of >80. Is it enough to post a adult photograph in profile to get assigned a...

I wish there was a way to turn it off. It goes up and down without reason, and it can be very distressing.

I was sitting pretty at a 95 for a while. I really liked that number. Suddenly it jumped to 97.Call me crazy but I like that it went higher - kind of - sort of - but you see... Now I want to KEEP it.I'm kind of possessive that way. I see a bunch of people with 100 hubber...
