Last night, I published my first hub and I am waiting to see if it will be featured or not. I see that about 20 hours after publishing, my hub has recieved 10 views and a score of 52. Is that score good? I made my article attractive with 3 photos properly credited, a poll, a quiz and of course around 950 words of text.
Also, (the main reason for starting this post) when I published my article under the featured column of the hub statisitics, there was a pending icon - the grey arrows. However, when I returned now that space is blank. There is no icon at all. What does this mean?
As you can tell, I am a newbie!
Your hub has ads on it so it looks like it is featured.
You might want to try to raise your score a bit. Try breaking up that long block of text you have. Instead of just using one text capsule, use multiple ones, that way you can add pictures throughout the hub instead of in just one spot.
I try to break my articles up into small chunks so that I can add subtitles for the readers to find information quickly and so I can add pictures throughout.

Once you get the hang of the hub building tools you'll enjoy laying around with the formatting.
If there is no icon in the featured column -it is not published.
Hi! Congrats on your first Article! Try Checking your email. The Hupages staff is really helpful on how you can improve your article to meet their featured requirements.
Here is one of their helpful links.

I have read that article already. The only thing is, that it does not say that it is not-featured or that it is. There is nothing!
Also, I don't know why it has ads but doesn't show on your profile. Someone else might be able to answer that. If it has that low of a score it may be pulled due to quality. Keep working on it!
It probably has something do with the Boot Camp which was initiated after I came. You can send the team an email and they may be able to give you specifices about your hub. I don't think it is unpublished though as I was able to see it through your activity link.
I am thinking boot camp as well but it seems odd for that low of a score. I think my article looks pretty damn sexy, haha. It is definitely published as my link to my article works to others!
It may be published but not featured which means only those to whom you send direct link to the hub can see it.
As to why you are not seeing an icon next to your that would indicate whether it's featured or not - maybe try logging out and logging back in. Or try a different browser.
As I recall new users need 5 hubs to pass QAP before they are featured.
That might be it. Once 5 pass QAP they show up on the profile?
Perhaps you do not see an icon because it is not finished going through the QAP process yet. It is written that it usually takes about 24 hours in this link: http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/Featured-Hubs.
Some take less time and some take more.
Because your hub is not approved by hub QAP process and it will take one day. wait for that and you can see .

Just had a big drop on my profile score. And all my hubs were featured along with a steady 10 Editors Choice. I say 'were' because 3 were just unfeatured and I don't know what to do about that. My views are over 945,000. Boo-hoo. Hubpages doesn't love me anymore!

I am just curious, all 92 hubs of mine are featured. In your opinion, should one delete (although Featured) any hubs where the score on a particular hub has eventually dropped way down from when it was initially high at one point? Or would it be better to just unpublish and later...

I was delighted to see my hubber score climb to 90 yesterday. Today after I published another hub that also got featured (and in just an hour this time), I noticed that my score fell by 3 points. How come? I know hub scores can fluctuate but hubber scores? I even had a comment on my new hub...

For months I published no hubs and my hubber score sat around 96, in the last month I published three hubs, all of which are featured and each time I published one my hubber score dropped by two points, it's now down to 90. Is this how HP rewards us for our hard work? Correct me if I'm wrong but...

I'm in the process of migrating my content from my blog to HubPages and just transferred an article titled "Top 50 Men's Grooming Blogs for 2014." I just switched this article to HubPages a few moments ago (using a 301 redirect). I'm already on the first page of google for the key term...
