Why doesn't the changes save on the comment moderation form?

I need to be away from computer for about two weeks and I wanted to put my comments as unmoderated, so readers can just comment and they will auto-publish. For the last two days, after I changed the radio box to unmoderated and SAVED, the comments are still coming up for approval.

Is there something I'm doing wrong?

I have no idea, Rachael. Hopefully, Matthew will come in and answer your question.

Hi Rachael! It looks like you have the global comment settings configured correctly so let me check with our engineers and get back to you!

Update: Setting "Comments must be approved before they appear" to No does not mean that comments are automatically approved (only humans can approve comments). It just means that they will appear on the Hub unless you deny them.

So, it looks like you are using the right setting for what you need!

TYVM Marina.  Here are my settings:

Disable any further comments from being posted? NO
Comments must be approved before they appear?  NO
Only signed-in users may post comments? NO
Display most recent comments first? NO
Those are my settings. I went out to get boxes to pack and came home to 7 comments waiting for approval.

I have to get a lot of work done before the movers come on Friday. I'll check back in later tonight or tomorrow and see how it goes , maybe it will be resolved by then.
        TYVM Marina for your help.

The key language in that second setting is before they appear. When that is set to No, comments are going to appear on your Hubs as soon as they are made. So, you can use that setting and just let comments pile up on the My Account>Hubs>Comments page. You don't need to touch them. I'm able to see bravewarrior's [unapproved] comment from two hours ago on one of your Hubs.

The reason we don't have an automatic way to "approve" comments is because we don't trust bots to make that decision on behalf of Hubbers. "Approving" a comment is a Hubber's way of saying "Yes, I definitely want that comment on my Hub."

          I hope that helps!

By the way, my hub score was 97 about 4 hours ago and all I did (I SWEAR) is go to get boxes to pack up our house. When I got back a few minutes ago, I noticed it dropped to 84, its present location.  That is an amazing drop considering the many comments, visiting and (lately) posting that I do on Hubpages.  I am starting to think that hubber score is not a score that says HP applauds us for the work we do.
              sad

Wow, that's quite a drop in a short amount of time! It looks like you edited a bunch of Hubs today which would have caused them to get re-rated. It's possible that one of those Hubs received a much lower rating than it previously had. I'm not sure that would explain the 13-point drop though. Let me poke around a bit more and see if I can get some more useful information for ya.

Actually I only edited three, and deleted one. Two hubs that I edited were done in the process of being published early this AM (like 2AM).  Thanks for looking into it!
