Why doesn't HP take you to a comment instead of just to the question. Impossible to follow comments?
When I hit on a HP email notification -- it no longer takes me to the comment but just to the Question. Impossible to follow conversation.
I noticed that. There's a lot of long-ashed articles on HP (especially my own), and it's a real pain to scroll all the way down.
It happens sometimes. But, not always. Usually, when you click on the notification, it directly takes you to the right thread connected to that link. But, due to some glitch or lack of proper connection given to that link, it takes you to the starting point.
HP technical team should look into this and solve such issues.
I noticed the same thing in the feed. When you follow a reply/comment it takes you the top of the question. That is worthless. It used to take you to the reply/comment.
Looks like the programmer wasn't paying attention?
It needs to be fixed, but I am afraid it is not high on their priority list. :-(
When following an answer it works okay. When following a comment for the forums it works okay.
I am not sure about comments at a Hub
Thank you all. Maybe they will fix it. When it is happening comments go way down by my experience. So I think that means less viewing so less revenue. Probably something important to HP.
Let's make it a great day friends.
I was wondering this too. Now all my links from emails to here just go to the question. I liked it better going right to the comment from the person on the notification. I hope they correct it. Hub answers do the shame thing. Hope your having a great weekend.
I just noticed since they did this the traffic on much visited questions and answers have dropped like a rock. Maybe there is a law of diminishing returns on too busy Q&As. Maybe this forces us to write hubs instead???
Oh, weird, I didn't notice that. I'll have to look. Thank you for the thoughtful discussions. It happing on any forum now, not just questions?..

Just curious, I think it would increase rather raise the bar on many Hubbers as it would feel most rewarding having say; Maddie [please don't ban me] leave like 5 comments a month, and the whole family each leave 5 a month.Clearly no expectations of response but you could also vote on this Hub, and...

Why doesn't one moderated comment stay hidden, when I had written one twice?I tried to moderate my own comment, as initially, the first comment disappeared so I retyped it, and then later I noticed I had two comments. I tried to moderate one of the comments to "hide" it, but later...

A web examiner told me this would sound like self promotion, but there is no other way to ask the question.I posted a question asking why one of my golf articles that has been out there for over 3 months is listed as #1 in the HOT listing out of 1,730 golf articles and #5 in the BEST listing at the...

I need to be away from computer for about two weeks and I wanted to put my comments as unmoderated, so readers can just comment and they will auto-publish. For the last two days, after I changed the radio box to unmoderated and SAVED, the comments are still coming up for approval. Is there something...

Would there be a way to notify us of ALL comments and let us decide if they are spam or not? Just today I checked an older hub and noticed 2 comments...one 11 months ago and the other 10 months ago. The first had left a link to another website on the same subject and the second had...

We are currently taking a high level look at our notification system: under what circumstances we send a notification to users, how the notifications are sent (e.g. via email or the iPhone app), how users can choose to opt out of these, etc.An example of a notification that we already send is...
