Why doesn't HP take you to a comment instead of just to the question. Impossible to follow comments?

When I hit on a HP email notification -- it no longer takes me to the comment but just to the Question. Impossible to follow conversation.

I noticed that.  There's a lot of long-ashed articles on HP (especially my own), and it's a real pain to scroll all the way down.

It happens sometimes. But, not always. Usually, when you click on the notification, it directly takes you to the right thread connected to that link. But, due to some glitch or lack of proper connection given to that link, it takes you to the starting point.
HP technical team should look into this and solve such issues.

I noticed the same thing in the feed. When you follow a reply/comment it takes you the top of the question. That is worthless. It used to take you to the reply/comment.

Looks like the programmer wasn't paying attention?

It needs to be fixed, but I am afraid it is not high on their priority list. :-(

When following an answer it works okay. When following a comment for the forums it works okay.

I am not sure about comments at a Hub

Thank you all. Maybe they will fix it.  When it is happening comments go way down by my experience. So I think that means less viewing so less revenue. Probably something important to HP.
Let's make it a great day friends.

I was wondering this too. Now all my links from emails to here just go to the question. I liked it better going right to the comment from the person on the notification. I hope they correct it. Hub answers do the shame thing. Hope your having a great weekend.

I just noticed since they did this the traffic on much visited questions and answers have dropped like a rock. Maybe there is a law of diminishing returns on too busy Q&As. Maybe this forces us to write hubs instead???
