And this includes all the referral traffic I've hopefully been sending HP via my illustrious main website. Oddly, my website is doing the best it's ever done.
We all knew the summer thing was coming. But I am truly saddened anyway.
I shall continue all my ongoing, industrious activities. Although it's obvious I'm just spinning my wheels.
I'm going to go eat some oven-warmed chocolate chip cookies.
My three week cycle that ended yesterday started out excellent and now is approaching negative numbers! HP is like a slot machine I think, pays well sometimes and other times simply does not have any jackpots come up!
I was thinking I was doomed for the summer, but I think Jayne has a point. Things may not be quite as disastrous as I thought.
Hi,
Try to stay strong. Keep Writing. Never lost faith. God Bless.
It may also have something to do with the soccer World Cup.
Now that just flat out had not occurred to me! You've perked me up.
Mine are the same. Looking sad. Cookies sound like a good idea, but I think I am in more of a cup cake mood. Mmmm cupcakes. Yep, going to go make cupcakes. (The sadness of lack of views wears off pretty quick when googling "homer cupcake photos")
You guys are making me hungry for things I shouldn't eat. MMM warm chocolate chip cookies.
My website was doing extra well last month. Now it is down to half the traffic. My hubs are doing better now. The traffic had gone down to next to nothing at the end of February on my hubs. Google can't make up its mind.
Just hold on and they'll change their mind again and your traffic will be back.
Even though my website is doing good at the moment, AdSense is still supremely unimpressed; so much so, they even subtracted 12 cents from my so-called finalized earnings. I'd never seen that happen before.
Haha, the World Cup has been good to me.
I must have really peed Google off! I was going good, then boomp straight down the proverbial well hole! Still Cookies sound nice, and a film!
We must indeed do what we can to cope.
My traffic has done the usual new week increase. If next weekend isn't as bad as this last weekend, I shall put my map to the nearest cliff back in the closet.
Same here. It's probably because of all the nice weather. ;-) If it has been three weeks since your last hub, I would try getting started on posting a new one.
I'd love to. If I could think of anything that would have even the slightest chance with Google, I'd go for it.
That is the big problem, isn't it. There are millions of articles on everything.
Yep, there doesn't seem to be any unsaturated topics anymore. And there are always outright website domain names that our mere page titles must go head-to-head with.
That's where writing about things you actually know and do can give you a boost. You have unique experience and specific details from your own knowledge to offer.
Now talk about a doomed hub, that would be it.
Leastwise, here's some good news. Dropped by my AdSense. My combined HP and main website are 5 by 5 on both Revenue optimization and Site health. I haven't seen that in a long time.
It's so puzzling because my traffic has gone through the roof , quadrupling, in the past two days. I wish I knew why and I wish it would stay that way!
Mine did that, in fact I was so happy i was jumping around! lol! then...it bombed back down big time!
Nell, you're so funny. You gotta love when something makes you so happy that you jump around! Good luck to everybody with increasing your traffic this summer. I think there are a lot of good points in the thread... outdoors because it's summer (but maybe indoors where it's 95 degrees and up outside!) and yes, maybe watching World Cup soccer!
Well... Well... My traffic is better this weekend than last weekend.
Hope springs eternal.
Are others likewise? I'm curious.
Mine has gone down ever further! Every time they go down and down I eat more chocolate, by the time it hits zero I will be like huge balloon with legs!!
I tell ya. Online writing is heart attack city.
If I didn't have my social security retirement check, I'd be basically F-bombed.
The income I get from my online writing endeavours is the difference between grinding poverty and a comfortable living.
So I got to continue the good fight.
Even though I'm just starting so nowhere near the numbers you guys are pulling in my traffic seems to be rising quite nicely.
I haven't written any new hubs for a couple of weeks due to exams and revision . But never the less my traffic has still been slowly increasing, earning on the other hand haven't grown a huge amount with really low CPM however number of views isn't too bad.
All I can say is that I pretty much stopped writing for almost a year..my traffic declined. I started up about 2 weeks ago and my traffic quadrupled and so did the money! I could actually support myself although I would have to move to Thailand or the Philippines!
So my advice is to keep writing. But, you must write about things that other people care about. That's the hard part IMHO, because the net is so saturated. Sometimes I just rack my brain for something new to write about and luckily sometimes an idea will come.

I'm experiencing a traffic drop. I believe it is because of what this thread is talking about... http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/112459 When it comes to ranking, there are just too many whims of fate... And Happy Thursday! 4:30 AM, USA, West Coast.

Well, January is finally here.Make or break month as far as I am concerned. There is a stock market saying “However goes January, so goes the rest of the year.” Me thinks the same applies here. Will it be…A. Let the good times roll…OrB. A murder of crows glides overhead…The end of December truly...

When is hub traffic the highest
by Nathan Bernardo 12 years ago
Should you update a Hub when you see its traffic waning, even before it's gone Idle? Will this keep it from going Idle and increase traffic to it?
by David 470 8 years ago
Well, its official, my hubs are all down about 39%. Strangely enough my profile views are up to 40%. This is very odd cause usually my profile views are never that high. Has anyone else experienced this? Maybe its just random.
