This has been going on for about six weeks now.  People have told me that they get no notifications when I have published a new story.

It is not abnormal for Hubs to experience a drop in traffic in the summer in the US just due to people doing things other than reading online articles.

As for notifications, we are unaware of any issues with the notifcation system.

Many time people do not have the correct settings.

One example is not having "always" selected for the specific type of notification here.
      https://hubpages.com/my/profile/email

Many times people also may have these messages classified as SPAM by the mail service or program they use,
Here is an FAQ regarding email and notifications.

I would advise any HubPages user that you know is having problems with notifications to contact us directly here.

Hi Deb,  what Matthew has stated is true in my case at least, as I have been having so much going on this summer that I have not even had a moment to publish. And these past two weeks we have had a lot of family events with reunions and an upcoming wedding this weekend, plus my grands up for a couple of weeks and they demand all our time and deserve it.  We have had four close family members who have had birthdays in June, including both of my children. I usually will comment late at night after a busy day, but I have been too tired and just conk out after the grands go to sleep lol

If you think you have no traffic now, do not look at any of your statistics over the 4th of July holiday weekend.

I don't think you understand what I am talking about.  Other people have told me that they are not getting notifications that I have published.  That is the issue, I think, that promulgates the problem.  I have been on here for two years, and I have seen the various nuances during the year.  Notifications is the issue.

Oh, that is a whole different issue the, if you others are not getting notifications when you publish.  Several weeks ago, I did not get one notification of any of those who I follow who published for 36 hours!!!  Then all of a sudden, the notifications came in.  I felt bad for those who published during that time, as no one knew they published anything.  It was a glitch with HP but has been fixed since, as I asked in a forum or question too.  The only reason I figured out something was wrong, as I notice in my email there was a huge gap of time missing of receiving any notifications.  Then, I knew for sure something was wrong when I did not receive a notification of when a certain hubber, who published daily at the same time, and I did not get a notification on his newly published hub.  Then a few days ago, I noticed the same thing, but just for a couple of hours.  I hope your issue has been resolved now.  I will be over to your side of town to read your amazing hubs shortly.  I have a lot of catching up to do since I have been away from HP for several weeks due to life issues and activities outside of HP.

Yes, Faith Reaper, all is well once again, though HP never said what happened.  Everything just went back to normal, without a bang or a whisper...

If the notices go out, that's pretty much all that happens on this end.

Have you discovered if there is a correlation between who's not getting notified and what email service provider they use?  If one of the big service providers decided to tag HubPages as spam, that could be the culprit...

Deb, I've been trying to post a comment on your hub for the last 15 minutes and the screen just keeps jumping up to the top. This is the site:

BTW - I've been checking my old group notices from the HP team about new hubs issued. I can't find your name or new hubs on them although I checked, and I definitely am following you.

Thanks, Peg.  Jackie Lynnley and a few other people have mentioned this, too.  I know that it is an internal matter, yet everyone in technical seems to disagree.  When one day I am getting a total of 150 hits per article and it drops to half of that, I know that there is a problem, especially when I have even more sources now.

Also, Peg, I have had that problem, too, which is another internal matter for tech support, as it has happened to me on other people's hubs for six months--on and off.  Log out, then log back in.  Sometimes that corrects it for a short while.

I'll try that and see if it helps. I'm sure it's "my browser" or my cookies or whatever... lol
I noticed on my top performing hub that the traffic is now 1/10 of what it is normally seen daily. Very disturbing indeed.
        hmm

That's just it, Peg, nothing has changed for me EXCEPT Universal Analytics...

Oh, oh. I just received an email with the new Hub releases from June 26 and Aviannovice, yours is at the top of the list. Hooray!

Glad to hear it, Peg.  I seem to have been getting my old stats back.  I wonder what it was, though.
