Anytime I try to write a hub on my windows phone, I get a warning message saying not recommended for my browser. For fear of the unknown, I only use the mobile version to make simple editing. Makes me wish there was an HP app for devices
I have used my iPad to write a few hubs.. Only thing is that the display doesn't really show too well, but everything still saves ok. If you go ahead with it, simply use it to type everything up, maybe even add a few pictures, but then edit when back on a trusty desktop or laptop! I also recommend saving every so often, so that if anything crashes, it isn't a massive disaster. Good luck!
