I went to search the title of one of my hubs to see what comes up and I found something very interesting and probably illegal that maybe HP moderators should be aware of and advise what action we should take.
The first listing is mine and the second is a site that is not only copying phrases from our hubs, but also is using the keyword, HubPage, several times especially in the last sentence.
Here is a paragraph from them. The first three ?sentences? (up to plex Holbein) are a direct copy from my hub and then they switch onto someone else's. They also repeatedly use my title as a keyword.

Maybe you want to take a look and see if some of yours is plagiarized also.
What do I or we do about it? Should HP do something since these people are definitely using HP to get their site up front by using HubPages as a repeated keyword.
Judy, I have filed DMCAs where my content has been mixed with others, stating exactly which text was mine. It was removed. Don't know if the whole page came down, but certainly the result never showed when I completed a new search.
Thanks. I've filed when it was only mine that was copied, but this really disturbed me because they are using HubPages as a keyword also by putting onto my title and mentioning it twice at the end with no significant reason other than as a keyword. I think HP should be sending a DMCA ot them also or Google, Bing and Yahoo if it there also. We'll see if HP responds.
God save us from such dangerous people. I just went over their blog to see what is it all about. They are mostly photos with some description and broken phrases which they consider to be article or blog. I read one but could not understand anything except some broken phrases. There are no sentences at all which make some meaning. It appears that they simply copy some catchy words and phrases from the net but do not know how to put them into sentences.
Hubpages should definitely file case against them. They might be spreading virus bugs also through their activities. We must be careful from such sites.
People will do anything to make a buck. What filthy scumbags. Sorry that happened Judy. We need to all check our stuff now.
ANYBODY can report spam, paid links, malware, and other problems direct to Google
It doesn't have to be the owner where content is plagiarised.
Have a read of Google's Help Page https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/93713 about how to report any dodgy site you come across - using their form https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools … port?pli=1
I've reported more than a few in my time - it feels like doing your bit to clean up the Internet!
First time I have seen this page! Thanks for both links, the one to the article and the one to the filing page.
Thanks for the links and article. I'll follow up on it. It is so aggravating when you see tings like this.
I just reported it as being Webspam. I'm not sure if that is correct, but it seemed to be the only applicable choice.
Judy, no moderators are going to respond to this because it isn't anything that falls under their responsibilities. The moderators deal solely with the content on HubPages.

There are a lot of us who haven't been feeling safe on the forums. They've felt stalked, harassed and browbeaten.Sadly, some folks go with the letter of the law, but not the spirit of it in their posts. For an excellent post on why we need Forum Moderators, check out what Makingamark says here...

... administer the forums?I asked a similar question in a poll in a recent Hub and though I had many views I didn't get many votes. Now I wonder are people afraid of the consequences if they post their votes or their views?

I was just wondering why foul language (obscene language, profanity, cursing, swearing, expletives, bad words, dirty words) is being tolerated in certain cases, and in the case of certain individuals. It is especially embarrassing when it comes from a woman. Should she not be counselled by a...

I find it kind of ridiculous that I have been waiting for a couple weeks now for one of my hubpages to be published. What was the longest time you have ever had it take to get a hubpage to publish?

I think it should. Here is why.It will improve the quality of the HubPages. Currently, because Hubbing is allowed only in English, many people who are not comfortable with English are forced to write in English. This leads to many hubs, as well as comments on hubs, that are barely comprehensible and...

I would love to have some guidelines about what constitutes 'adult content'. In two recent hubs I wrote about how to make love in the woods and in a car...with no "graphic" detail that I am aware of. I don't mean to write things that are offensive by any means. ...
