hi all hubbers...i am very fedup with my user hubscore and hubs score aswell.. it veries lots...yesterday was 69 then gone up to 74 then came back again to 69. before used to be 87 then it has started reducing and now has become useless.i have one hub which says "needs review" i have done bit modification and the published it but it is not published and status has become "needs review" again.what if i delete it will it make difference???i have checked my stats and my daily traffic is as it was before, even much better. then whats wrong? i was facinate to make friends but misha has told me excess of making fan might effect it and i have stopped it.so please any suggetion and helps are wel come...thanx
I think you've correctly identified the two main causes of your low score. I'd suggest getting to the know the rules so you aren't creating work for our moderation team, and quitting the fan club of users that you are not really a fan of (do you regularly read the hubs of the 1200 people you are a fan of?).
Hi Britney I think tech gadgets are the coolest thangs I can see why that 'cars' one isn't doing great. The pics far outnumber the length of your article. Maybe write a little more around the cars .. upcoming interior gadgets with them? speed? benefits? pros? cons? how many people lol ... It needs a little more bringing to life. awesome cars tho, lol
i am agree with your things but still i have some hubs which are really fine and with good rich content...this car one i have added as an experiement, i am totall lost about whats happening here and very upset...anyway thanx for your suggession...
Hi Britney, I will offer my two bob's worth. I am not sure how hubpages algorithms work, but when I want a hub to rate, I use lots of different text capsules, a video or two, 1200 or so words, a good hub name with related capsule headings and related headlines, keywords repeated at the end of the hub.Subject matter seems to help with hits, but hub score seems a mystery still, if I find the secret I will let you know.
thancx earnestshub for your reply....about hubs i got the idea and i was bit aware about it as well still its really getting on my nurves because as day rise it rises and as day finished it decreases....anyway thanx for your response and if you come across any suggession for me please let me know...thanx
where are you misha??? i need your help....i think you are the best in this analysis...
MISHA is the best thing to have happened to hubpages. Her advices have helped many including ME...
Rmshdc- I totally agree with you in substance but not in the form (Misha is a HE and not Her)
Britney- A while ago when Anjali asked me a similar question I compiled this
reply which you can scroll to the bottom of the comments section.
On a serious note I personally feel maybe just maybe that warning must have to be sorted out. Have you tried emailing team@hubpages.com for your issue? Good luck and hope this "score" issue doesn't get you down too much from enjoying hubpages
LOL yes, I am "he", and this is my real picture
Sorry Britney, did not see the thread before. I will go take a look at your hubs, may be I can see some pattern. Meanwhile, do a couple of exercises with your fan club. First, go to "my account - hubber fan clubs", and scroll down to the bottom of the list. Get rid of everybody who's score is below 50, unless they are really your best friend. Second, copy and paste this list of people you are a fan of into excel(or any other spreadsheet you use) and count how many people you are a fan of. If this number is several times more than the number of people who are fan of you, prune the list even more. To give you a yardstick, I am a fan of approximately twice as more people that are my fans. I think it is pretty close to the limit
PS LOL Paul beat me to this. Well, he confirms my suspicion
In my own observation, you should try and read more of peoples' hubs, then carefully choose your hub popics, and make sure u finish each topic, don't keep any in suspense. Finally, try and include more links and videos to your hubs,i tried it,my traffic increased and my hub score increased from 76 to 85,though it later went back to 82.Again,participate more in forums, and don't give up,what matters is how many people are viewing your hubs outside HP.Good luck dear.
Remember that Hub scores and Hubber scores are re-calculated every few minutes.
Traffic is a factor in the score, so your scores will go up when there are lots of people online, and drop as the bulk of web surfers go to bed.
If you try to keep your score from changing, you will go insane.
Just focus on improving the quality of your Hubs, so that when your score varies, even at its lowest it is still over 75.
Mine varies from 81 to 95, and I have given up trying to figure out what causes the variation. It doesn't really matter to me, since it's always over 75, and I am not so competitive that I want to knock one of the 100%ers off their throne, just for the moment of glory.
I have a life to live, and it contains glory enough already ...
Jenny
nice word jenny! May God bless all your efforts.Plz Britney take Jenny's words and relax!
Another thing that people haven't pointed out is that publishing new hubs improves the likely hood that your Hubscore will go up. I haven't been here much and my Hubscore went down by about seven points. Publishing more Hubs will improve it. Of course, you should try to make them good hubs ;-).
Hi guys, i have read all your comments and i find them very useful for my growth here.so thanks guys.

Hello guys!I just started HubPages less than a month ago so I'm fairly new and might not understand the way HubScore works like you do.I have published 5 hubs and I published my 5th hub yesterday. My fifth hub is called "Everything You Wanted to Know About Whole Grains", by the way. I...

Sometimes when I have ideas for hubs, I "start a hub" and sometimes finish it later or just let it sit there for a while. Maybe I should just write down my hub ideas instead. Does it hurt my hub scores or overall hubber score to have those unfinished hubs (often with just titles) sitting...

Just had a big drop on my profile score. And all my hubs were featured along with a steady 10 Editors Choice. I say 'were' because 3 were just unfeatured and I don't know what to do about that. My views are over 945,000. Boo-hoo. Hubpages doesn't love me anymore!

I am just curious, all 92 hubs of mine are featured. In your opinion, should one delete (although Featured) any hubs where the score on a particular hub has eventually dropped way down from when it was initially high at one point? Or would it be better to just unpublish and later...

Needing some constructive criticism regarding my second ever hub. I crafted what I thought to be a clever and informative article that would help the reader renegotiate a lower wireless bill with their provider. But after one day its been down-voted 5 times. Wondering if anyone has any advice to...

Been here about a week ..wrote 4 hubs .. havent done any promotion type activities yet because im still learning about that .. and of course i've learned by observation, that when we first write a hub we get this hit of traffic .. like ive never seen before .. 80, 100 ,200 visits ..and im...
