Not sure if anyone is allowed to advertise for services on HP

I'm not sure either, but if staff want to remove this thread then so be it. I thought there might be a real need for this service, that's why I have offered it.

Well done Suzanne.  You make an excellent point.  There was a guy recently who wrote a failing hub on 'making money on the Internet' who was looking for free help.  If he can make money on the Internet then maybe he should scatter a little of it on the rest of us! smile

"Sarcasm is "a sharp, bitter, or cutting expression or remark; a bitter gibe or taunt."[1][2] Sarcasm may employ ambivalence,[3] although sarcasm is not necessarily ironic.[4] "The distinctive quality of sarcasm is present in the spoken word and manifested chiefly by vocal inflections".[5] The sarcastic content of a statement will be dependent upon the context in which it appears" Wikipedia

Actually this advertisement is not sarcastic. If anyone wants to pay for my time and expertise, I will do my very best for them, as I would also do for my graphic and web design clients.

It was not directed to you....it was an attempt to clarify your point to this comment: "Not sure if anyone is allowed to advertise for services on HP" However I thought that you were being sarcastic out of frustration at seeing so many poorly written hubs...sorry if I got your intent  wrong.

Luis - I somewhat thought it was satirical as well.  I know we can let people know we're available for various writing or editing services in our profiles, but I didn't think that was permitted in the forum.

If anyone wants some proper English lessons - Queen's speech and all that dear boy - then toddle off down the Busmen and Ferret watering hole and ask where "Tophole Ewbie" has got to.

I'd offer to be part of the enterprise as well, but I speak Texan. Here are a few free tips, though:

Just watch a few Westerns and pick up on the drawls, and you'll get a feel for the regional use of vowels.  Always carry a few extra apostrophes with you, because you'll need to replace vowels that fell off into the ditch, such as in Fixin' and Y'all, as in "I'm fixin' to go see y'all."

Glad to be of help here!

I'm a Sqidoo transfer. When I wrote my Lens I utilized the critique my Lens section of the Squidoo forum for members. I noticed that HubPages has something similar in the forum called "Improving Your Hub." I appreciated the feedback I received from the Squidoo members regarding my Lens. More people should use this feature of the HubPages forum and actually implement the suggestions from experienced Hubbers. I was also under the impression that poorly performing Hubs automatically dropped off the radar by becoming unfeatured so I'm confused about the purpose of the HubPro edits. If a Hub is still getting traffic, it should be left alone unless edited by the Hub author. If it is not getting traffic, then won't it eventually be "unpublished" anyway? I have a list of topics I wanted to turn into Hubs since the other site I write for has been getting dismal page views. But it's slightly discouraging to read that the HubPages model isn't working right now.

Hey Julie - I am a Squidoo transfer too.  I agree that HubPages is a learning curve for those of us who published on other sites.....I was discouraged at first, but have decided to stick with their program for 2015 and keep writing....

I understand the platform well enough. It's not too terribly different from Squidoo. It's fear of the sinking ship that's holding me back. I've been on several sinking ships since 2009. sad
