When I start a hub, there are certain areas where it won't let me type.  The curser doesn't even show up.  Like when I post photos, it won't let me type in the subject box or the source box  or the other boxes.  I have to go to the ingredients and click on "additional ingredients" and then I could type further.
I have started a hub about bread crumbs and there is no ingredients because it is not a recipe so I can't click on "additional ingredients", so I can't type any further on the photos.
It also won't let me type in the Amazon Box.
Also, can I show pictures in the Amazon Box and what am I suppose to type in the top box?

      Hi Rachel,
You can edit you Hub using the HubTool. You need to edit each capsule in order to change the content.

This Hub explains how to use each of the capsules.

But what do I do when I simply can't type anything in a capsule?  That's my problem.

Did you read the Hub that I linked above and try the steps outlined to edit the capsules?
If so, what exact process are you using?

        Example.
I edit my Hub "Great Sandwiches"
I click the capsule to edit it.
        Edit the capsule and then.......

I click on the capsule "photos"
I am able to bring up the photos
I click on the title box and it won't let me type
I click on the "source" box and can't type there either
the same thing happened in the Amazon capsule.
Do I have to click on the edit button every time I want to type in a box?

Rachel:  Yes. Simply clicking on edit so you can edit your hub is not enough. Each capsule, text box, images, even title and summary box has an edit button which you have to click on to make a change in that area.

I have another question.  My hub on Fresh Clam Tomato Sauce says there are 2 broken links in highlighted areas.  But there were no highlighted areas.  What are broken links and how do I fix them and how can I find them if the areas are not highlighted?

Go into Edit mode. In the top right corner the message on broken links will appear again. If you click on that message it will show you exactly which links are broken.

Thank you, I will try it.

Hi Sue, I have tried to do what you said, but there simply isn't anything to click on in the right hand corner.  I don't know what broken links are so I don't know what to look for.  The messages says the capsuls with  the broken links will be highlighted, but nothing is.

There is currently a bug resulting in some broken links being identified on the broken link page, but not highlighted in the HubTool.
You can find more information here.

I have also been having this issue for the past 2 days. I'm able to upload a picture, but am unable to type into the source box, etc. This is occurring in the photos and video sections for me (those are what I've tried at least). Have never had this problem prior to yesterday.

I still have that problem.  I always had this problem.  The only way I can get around it is when I am typing the ingredients for my recipes, I have to click on the box on the bottom of the capsule where it says to put in extra ingredients.  When I click on that, then the curser appears in the photo sections and other places.  It's strange.

Rachel, it seems like you could be a Squidoo import, given that you have over 40 Hubs and yet seem unaware of how the site tools work.  The time you joined HubPages looks about right for that too.

If that's the case, to learn how to edit anything, you should try reading this,
    http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/using-hubtool

If that's not the case, explaining what device, operating system and browser you are using would be very helpful to know because what you are describing could also be related to those.

Thank you relache for that web site.  I saved it and will read all of it.  I did skim through it, however, but still didn't see anything about "broken links".  The rest of it will be very helpful to me, I'm sure.

There is a feature in your account section that will help you with broken links.

Thanks again.  I also found out that there is a bug in the broken link feature and not highlighting the area from Matthew Meyer.

I am happy the problems have been solved. Feel free to post in the forum any time you experience difficulty and writers will attend to you.

In addition, it is better to first type in microsoft word, then copy and paste on the text section.

Thank you everyone for your help.  I think I figured out the problem.  I edited the photos and discovered I typed in the URL section instead of the caption section.  I fixed it and the box on top the my hub that says there is broken links went away.
