I recently wrote a memoir about myself and a friends first trip to Times Square as a pair of truants. Because it does not have a "how to" or "about" theme I do not think the HubPages is the proper venue for it. Or is it? If not, can someone suggest another site? I feel it is one of the best little things I have produced so far. I also write observational humor and fiction and do not know where to take that either. Thanks for your help!
I see I typed my most common mistake in the title and I can't correct it. Sorry!
Thanks I will then. It is called "Fish Cakes and Spaghetti" and I think people will enjoy it as it is a true story. Out in a few minutes! It will be hard to drive traffic to unless the readers make it viral. It will be linked to my new blog also. Sorry I was just warned not to link my blog. Too many rules!! If I have a blog I want people to go there for their entertainment Yes there are ads on it but why is that a big deal? Forgive me for my rant. I was just a little surprised at the pop up! It is called My Frogpatch and it is on Blogger if you are interested.
You have been misinformed - you CAN place a link to your blog in your Hub. What you can't do is link to it more than once in the same Hub. Just one link is absolutely fine, I do it all the time.
It's true that all kinds of writing is welcome on HubPages. You may have noticed we have quite a few poets here, for instance. Unfortunately fiction and personal memoirs tend not to make any money, but then they tend not to make money anywhere else either.
When categorizing I believe you go to books/writing and the subtopic is in there, it is the proper place to publish.
I often make the their mistake too!
And yes, I agree it's fine to publish it here!

Are hubs monitored for proper use of the English language?I have been reading some very awkwardly worded hubs lately. Syntax is weird and grammar is horrible. I know we have some hubbers whose first language is...
