    Hey Hub community,

I created a Facebook page for my profile today. The page creates a link to my profile page as well as links to many of my articles. I also paid to have my website link-the one to my HubPage profile-advertised throughout Facebook. Is doing all of this allowed? I don't want to break any rules or cheat the system. Thanks in advance for your responses! smile

    Travis

Yes, that is allowed to do on Facebook. There is no written rule in HubPages TOU saying a Hubber cannot do that. (not that I have seen)

      Terms of Use: http://hubpages.com/help/user_agreement

Thank you so much, colorfulone! I've been looking for the Terms of Use page for a while now. I didn't know where to find it. Thanks again!

You might be wasting your money. I tried just the $5 one for my website page on Facebook. It was about women's interests. They give you metrics afterwards. 85% went to men. They didn't target my audience at all and it was wasted money.

Well, I wouldn't consider that a total waste!

I did the same thing though. I'll just see how it works this one time.

I kind of figured it would be a waste of time for the average person. Now, if we were semi-famous it could be worth the investment.

Any ideas on how we can become semi-famous?  (kidding)

I have seen some writers simply create a FB page using their Pen Name for their articles.  Then they simply put links to new content on the page, as well as on their timeline.  Cost is Zero!

Some do the same for each of their blogs and web sites.  Cost: Zero

Linda, My page has around 500 followers and when I post it goes to about 50 of them, if that many. Of the 50, maybe half click on the link. They are doing it on purpose so that you pay the money to get a bigger audience. If it was targeted traffic, I wouldn't mind paying the $5 for it, but it might have gotten me 20 views. It doesn't send it to that many people.
