There should be a mean of exchange of wishes and prayers, apart form email, fan mail and comments, let there be a new feature "Message Corner" by virtue of which Hubbers can share their happiest /sad moments and request for prayers. Through this, the Hub Team can also announce the Demise or Exit of a Hubber or any other related information.
A good suggestion. I recommend it. Let us hope for many more support from our friends here.
You can use the Status Update (on your Feed page under Explore) to broadcast what's on your mind.
Perhaps a non-committal message board would be a good idea, but how many messages would accumulate there in just one day, and how would everyone at HP be notified? I have a feeling it is a HUGE task.
People have been doing this for years through the forums. Also, you can email fellow hubbers to add a more personal touch.
Our troubled world needs our prayers, and occasionally we need them ourselves. Great thought and great action! Let those of us that tumble in here today say a prayer for the migrants in Hungary and elsewhere for whom a normal life is yeat to be found among the family of man.

Sadly, in the present instance it may take a few of them dying before the needed humanie emotions kick in. Let's pray that doesn't happen, for it need not.
Maybe controversial but I have BBC news on here. The migrants in Hungary have been offered temporary refuge while they are given papers, etc. They are refusing it. They are also refusing food and water as a protest at not being taken where they want to go (Germany). I see them with iPhones, designer clothing and bags, mostly young men who should be defending their own country -- as we would in the UK or the US. These are not refugees; these are economic migrants who have managed to raise thousands of dollars to pay for transport.
The current rules of asylum say that people seeking asylum should register in the first safe country they come to... in most cases, that would be Turkey. Those who risk their children's lives to get to Greece in inflatables should be arrested. No-one is shooting at them in Turkey, they are safe there. They should be applying for asylum and then be grateful for whichever EU country accepts them.
Good points. Migrants can be sent back to their countries of citizenship. Asylum is only for refugees who can make their case for being actual refugees. No European state is obligated to take in migrants for any period longer than it takes to identify them as not being refugees. EU countries have to have the time necessary to sort out terrorists from refugees and migrants. They will need the highest professionalism just to do that.
Religious content has an entire topical forum and dozens of sub-categories including prayer requests.

However it would appear the only subcategory for prayers is Christian. Hope that works for you.

Actually in 2016, Trump said, "I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn't lose any voters."After much thought and contemplation, I have come to realize what he is really saying is I can lie my a** off forever and not lose any voters. After him...

Most conservatives, especially of the MAGA variety, have loudly laid out a NOT WELCOME sign to anyone who is not white and wealthy from immigrating, legally or not legally, into America. This mind-set is a main platform of the Republican party today. But I ask you, why wouldn't America welcome...

A vanguard of the thousands of Central American migrants, who have been traveling for more than a month, has reached the U.S.-Mexico border where they hope to seek asylum. What have you heard, what do you think?

Is that because 70% of what used to be illegal crossings are now legal, with Biden flying them all over the country? Because that's no help at all.

A Texas mayor is sounding the alarm amid a dramatic spike in migrants crossing the U.S. border, saying his city has reached a "breaking point.""The city of El Paso only has so many resources and we have come to... a breaking point right now," El Paso Mayor Oscar Leeser, a...

These statistics show that illegal migrants with criminal records have entered the U.S. under multiple administrations, with a noticeable increase during the Biden administration.NOTE --- Please consider that my original point is focused specifically on the deportation of illegal immigrants who...
