Was curious if I opt out of the Google Adsense earnings, if I can just keep the Hubpages earning program. I have literally made around $4.00 in the past 8 years.
No. I think you will have both regardless. I looked at your articles and I can see the problem why you aren't earning. Your hubs are great, but most are about medical issues and diseases. Sadly, unless you are a professional in the medical field Google won't rank them well.
Maybe someone else will speak up and guide you about this issue.
No you cannot opt out of the AdSense program, it's an essential prerequisite for being part of the HubPages program.
Your experience is normal. If you're in the HubPages program then there will be only ONE direct AdSense ad on each of your Hubs, and it's right at the bottom of the Hub where most readers won't notice it. So you should expect to earn little or nothing from AdSense direct - however the important point is that the AdSense ads don't have any negative impact on your HubPages' earnings.
