My latest Hub has achieved a score of 96!
This is a first, thanks to Margaret Schindel and Marisa Wright for pointing me in the right direction. Without your help, I might still be floundering in deep water. Thank you so much.
Sallybea, that's fabulous news! Congratulations! Glad that Marisa and I were able to help.
Please write a hub (or point me to one) with tips on what you did to achieve this fantastic score. It's been a couple of years since mine have scored that high, regardless of all the blocks being ticked, original photos used, breaking up text blocks, full width first photo, etc.. Of course, there are always those hubbers who tell us that score doesn't count. But if it doesn't count, then why put it out there?
I am definitely no expert but I took a quick look at a couple of your hubs.
I did notice was that you are not always using APA Guidelines for your Titles and Headings. I have started using this tool http://capitalizemytitle.com/#
and whilst it is not always perfect it has really helped me a lot. I just copy and paste the headings into it and at a click of a button, it corrects them according to the APA guidelines.
I also use the free Grammarly download and whilst some people don't advocate it, I know even when I am typing a comment or writing a hub it will give me the option to change my spelling, grammar and punctuation if I have typed something incorrectly.
I suspect that traffic to a hub may bring the score up but to most of us it is a mystery and I don't generally take much notice of scores but it was nice to see one high up there even if it has gone down again 2 points today.
Thank you, Sally. I'm going out there now to try it. Will let you know.
Thanks for the link Sally. I often have trouble with titles, so this will help.
Well done! There are few things more gratifying than seeing hard work pay off.
Hello Sally,
Congratulation to you for achieving such a wonderful Hub score.
You deserve this as you are very hardworking and talented writer.
Bless you.
Great news Sally! Congratulations! ☺ God bless you! Hard work pays off surely!
Congratulation. Your success do inspire me
Thanks myburmastory, I wish HubPages were so inspired. It still has not been moved to the niche site in spite of the high score so I guess they have set the bar even higher:)
I think so. I will try my best for my first hub to be published. I hope one day I would get score as high as yours.
It will show up probably by early next week. My new hubs usually get moved in less than a week.
I hope so, the sooner they move the better as when hubs are fresh they receive the most traffic and this one was pretty good from the outset so I feel it could have been even better:) I don't like to flip them on Flipboard until they have been moved to the Niche site but perhaps I am being impatient with Thanksgiving hols coming up.
Happy Thanksgiving, hope yours is terrific.
I never put anything on Flipboard that has not first been moved to a Niche because Flipboard does not tag them and often excludes the image.
As a result, they get few if any views.
Hope your Thanksgiving is a good one, too.
Wow, well done Sally. I once had a hub with a score of 96 but that was long ago. Now 86 is the best I can do.
Thanks for sharing the tool http://capitalizemytitle.com/# .
Congratulations I hope I have such great score in one day.
And thanks for prompts.
Great! Congratulations, Sallybea. You deserve it, isn't it !
I have saved your reply. I'll be using it as a guidance in future.
Just one question- Have you downloaded the Free Grammarly or their advanced version?
Cool! Hubs in the 90s have become rare, at least for me. But 96 is super high in light of all the HP algo changes and site changes. Congratulations, sallybea!
Hi, Jan, it was cool, however, today it is a meager 93 which tells me that score has something to do with traffic as well quality. I had a lot of traffic to the hub. It was nice while it lasted!
I think this was great, but I agree with you. It's interesting, though, because nothing in the hub itself changed...just the traffic. BTW...I loved the Red Hat thing you placed on FB...so cute!

I got a 50point hub score in 9 days, is it a bad or good sign? How can I increase my hub score?

Wow, what a ride this has been. I have been around Hub Pages for only 29 days and now my Hub Score has reached 100! I just wanted somewhere to put my stuff out for some honest feedback and I get a heaping helping of positive juice! Thanks to those who chose to follow as you invested in the raw...

Hi ya'll. I'm a newbie and am wondering what hub scores ranging from 47 to 56 mean? What is a "good" hub score and how does that impact things? Thanks so much!!!

I've been on here for a few years, and I guess I never really understood the point of these scores. They don't seem to provide any real value to the user and I can't convince myself that they add value because they fluctuate so much. What's the point? Am I supposed to use these scores to tell me...

I want to know that what is the maximum score of a hub or hubber? How we can increase it?
