I have a site for Sims 2 (soon to be 2 and 3). The site is specifically targeted to sims 2 writers. I was thinking about inviting my writers to join up on Hubpages and write their stories here. All of the necessary tools are available to them here and those who are over 18 have the potential to make some income as well (probably mostly Amazon -- I can't get targeted ads on that site at all!).
What do you think? Pros? Cons?
I don't know what Sims is, but I know that I have loved writing here. My blog has become a complete chore since finding hubpages, and I really need to go clean it up.
As long as what they are writing is not overly promotional, it can't hurt anything.
Definitely not promotional! I'd be linking *to* Hubpages, not the other way around!
You might as well invite them. It won't hurt anything, and good things, like HP, should be shared! I invited several people. 5 of them signed up, but none have chosen to write. However, they are people who support me in my writing.
I've been absent from the site for a while (the game crashes my computer) but I made the post. I'm hoping to see some results. One of the admins thinks it sounds good once the sequel is out, and that's probably how it's going to go. That being said, they (and I) should be able to do okay in Amazon selling copies of the game and expansion packs! I need to get gamin'!
Hah! The game loads! I am so getting back to playing a bit here and there!

I think HubPages is just a terrific opportunity for writers to write and make connections within the HubPages community. However, I am concerned about the quality of some of the hubs I see. Even if the writing is fresh and lively, if the spelling, punctuation, or grammar are poor, then...

When one gets the message "overly promotional", one often does NOT see the links that are pointing to the same place. Is there some way to pop up the "offending links" similar to the way a dead link is highlighted in PINK? Or is that giving too much of a tool to abusers? Or...

So, I've had a hub unpublished due to HP claiming that it's overly promotional. The hub only has 2 outbound links ( which is the number of links we're allowed to put for the other external sites ) this is the only thing that I'm having in my hub. There is also NO amazon products or Ebay or...

What do you do when you read a hub that is purely promotional? The hub itself may be well-written and enjoyable, but clearly it is all about promoting a company, product, or service. Do you flag it? Do you ignor it? Do you rate it?

It has been a long time since I published here, and I have forgotten the process.I have a recently published hub, (5 days ago), that exited pending with that Dreaded Black Circle - Not Featured - Quality. (I do have other Featured hubs)I don't see any indicators of why, or what to fix, and I don't...

How many Amazon capsules are allowed per how many words? I don't care personally, I never made much on Amazon. But on a few of the lenses that came over, they are almost all Amazon capsules, with maybe 200 words. I tried to tell one person in a nice way that it was an interesting topic, but that...
