Can't Find Any Facebook Shares

Do Facebook shares from hubs not appear in a search? I tried searching for the URLs of several hubs (using the Facebook search bar), but nothing turned up, only what I shared directly by copying and pasting a URL onto my personal page and a Facebook "page". So I tried sharing using the easy-share buttons from within a hub to my personal account, and then searched for the URL in Facebook, but it didn't turn up.

    Just a side comment.

Awhile back I made an FB post that I thought was so awesome that I decided it was worth putting on my website. Knowing that google is as unthrilled with duplicate content as HP is, I did a google search for the post in question. It turns out that apparently google does not index FB posts; considering the kinds of posts I have seen there, that is understandable. I just thought that was worth noting. If someone does find an indexed FB post on Google, please do post about it here; it would be good to know.

I don't think outgoing links show up in facebook search, and certainly not if your posts are not set to "public".

The thing is my Facebook posts are set to "public", but the post didn't turn up in a search. Maybe it takes time for them to "index" it.

What I would like to know is how some sites track the number of shares if it isn't possible even to find shares by searching for specific URLs using Facebook's search facility? When I queried HubPages before about whether these figures could be displayed on a Hub, I was told that it would take up too much resources and increase page load time if the code had to go and poll the the sites to get stats.
Maybe these sites just record and store stats locally?

Any analytics site can tell you what site a user came from is they followed a link.  You can see domain level data on each hub by clicking on top right "stats" "referrers"

    Here's what I've found:

Facebook does index posts, but it depends on where the posts are.

If the post is on a public page then it may get indexed.  It depends on how popular that post is though.

If the post is in a public group, it may also get indexed, but less frequently than pages.  If the group isn't set to public then it's not indexed at all.

Profiles don't get indexed.  Not for many, many years anyway.

If you're sharing on a page or group, you should be able to see stats on who is viewing your posts.  If it's just your personal page, there's no way to do it that I'm aware of.
