Few weeks ago two strange person contacted me via contact author. Firstly they asked for friendship then started seeking help for some money withdraw through me. Both used the same way to tell me their problem. Have you too got such emails? Who are they.
If it smells fishy, don't reply. And report it by clicking on the spam link at the bottom of the HubPages generated email message.
Such emails can come to you from any source, not only hubpages. Simply mark them as SPAM.
There are spammers and scammers that slip by now and them; I've been contact twice. The best thing to do is report them and have their membership pulled. That way they won't hit someone else using the HubPages name.
