Craigslist for promotion?
I have heard that we can use craigslist for promoting our articles, blog and websites. How does this work?
I browse a number of different forums on Craig's List looking for threads that are related to any of my hub topics. When I find one, I post a comment and include a back link (with tracker) to my hub as part of either my comment or my signature. I work hard, however, to make all of my comments sincere, informative, helpful, and on topic. Thinly veiled spam and obvious attempts to lure readers to my site almost always results in flames and a low response.
I must be hitting somebody's touchy nerve because today I went back to all the cities that previously flagged my rant & rave on sociopaths and except for Miami - they were ALL flagged in less than hours. The cites are: pdx, den, sea, atl, dal.
The other cities where I posted before but were never flagged are sdo, lax, wdc, hou, fhu, chi, hou, lax, nyc, det, sac, ric, tus, hnl, sfo & phi.

If we flag a hub, does it say which hubber put in the flag, or is it anonymous. I mean, could someone turn around and flag your hub to retaliate? How does it work exactly? Thanks.

My hub was flagged for excessive promotion. I have no idea what this means. I simply created a hub from an article I wrote for Helium. The link to Helium that was in the article was not of my doing. I have edited the text and taken out the link. Is this sufficient?
