Thanks Beth! Hi Mark! Just got back from Tire Kingdom! I gave them the TEACHER LOOK, got them petrified, and they fixed my flat for free! One of the benefits of being a teacher!!!
Anyways, I'll catch up to you guys later on. I must report to work now before I get fired!
It is a lot of work whenever you take over a new store. It goes with the territory. It will slow down for me but probably not till after Christmas now.
I do not mind you asking I manage a department store for one of the larger chains in the country. Forgive me for not mentioning the name here but I do not think it would be very appropriate.
oh okay. well i wasn't asking for anything specific like a name or something like that, as i completely understand. besides, you never know who's reading this post anyways. no i was just asking what kind of retail like is it a grocery, clothing, electronic store or what is what i meant. sorry, i should've been more clear.
I have been doing this work for years. It is always the same in a new store. Staff not happy, the store has issues etc. I have sort of become more of a trouble shooter over the years than manager. I am sent to turn stores around and bring them back into compliance with company SOP more than anything else.
How about writing a rant about rants? Sometimes if we step back a moment we can see a little more and it helps us get a better focus. Reading the newspaper always gets the juices stirred for me. There is nearly always something that arouses my passion one way or another! Or something someone says or does at work!
oh okay. well thanks for stopping by and seeing us then before heading out. hope you have a great day tomorrow, as i'll miss talking to ya. and in the words of jim carrey from the "Truman show:"
"In case I don't see ya, good afternoon, good evening and goodnight."
Hi and Bye Beth. I'll try to stay here on the bottom I hope. I thought someone so kind, such as Klara needs to have her Birthday ackknowledged by all of us.
Klara... Sorry for creating such a big mess. I take the blame...Sorry I knew I shouldn't have posted. I'll never get to the Sunshine State this way I'm so confused, maybe I should mind my own business from now on
hahahaha... Mark! This has been so funny! Don't feel bad. I could have just said thanks and let it fly, but just a few days on this same forum we were discussing our birthdays. I had already mentioned my bday being August 10th, and didn't want people to think I was making up another birthday for whatever reason. It doesn't really matter. It's been hilarious though!
I know. I didn't clarify on FB because it didn't really matter. I just said thanks and that's it. But like I told you earlier, I was talking to Saleheen, ELP, Richard and Mahesh about birthdays just a few days ago. And it was funny because they were all virgos, except me. It was very funny. Thanks for the gesture though it wasn't really my bday. I do appreciate the thought. You're awesome!
now i fill my glass and drink to all: to my fllowers who have kept me sane and from dark alleys; to my wife, my dogs, my parrot who sleeps behind me now. i have been transported to tomorrow and maybe my last line i may ever write; it has been a wonder beyond all wonders.
i salute you all, so here's spit in your eye! thank you and goodnite.
Gotta go back about 143 odd posts to see who has said hello and/or goodbye and/or good morning/goodevening to me and any others just above and just below me
Voila! Power tussle also gets me a new name "bannana boy" I am really? Gotta check it out again. Hmmm well I am winner now. New name can wait. I am good with "Winner" Hahaha
yeah...that was a sad part of our history. I just feel bad for all the families that lost loved ones during that time, don't you? i can't even fathom what they must've gone through.
I have set myself a little task (or it might be a massive task, if the 99th person has many hubs!) to read their hubs and leave a genuine comment on every hub i read of the 99th person to post! The prize is obviously that i will read all their hubs and leave a comment on every one of the hubs...
Tweedle-dee and Tweedle-dumWere two of the best-kind of chums.All day long they'd laugh and play.___________________________.No holds barred!!Go for it!!ProCW
This has been perplexing me for a while - has something changed or have I just gone ga-ga?Being in a different time zone from most Hubbers, I rely on being able to click the "Your" button to catch up with who's posted on threads since I commented.Recently I've been missing comments...
