Kontera places the ads intext automatically as long as you have account with them, you've added your affiliate code in your affiliate settings in "my account" and you have enabled kontera ads by checking the box on the specific hub in edit mode.
You can't see kontera ads while you are logged in to hubpages. So log out, check your hubs and you should be able to see the kontera ads if you have completed the steps above.

I have a hubpage that I need to put a affiliates link on so that visitors will be able to go directly to the site where this offer can be purchased from. I am not sure how to go about doing this yet. Can someone please help by telling me what I have to do.Thank You for your help.
