I love Smashing Pumpkins. I love Chris Cornell in all his bands. I was speaking personally, when I said, "dorky and peppy". I think I might be a little more dorky, than peppy, though. Come to think of it, They Might Be Giants could satisfy my dorky peppiness.
I am not sure what band name I would be but if I could be the drummer for a band I would want it to be with Garth Brooks, Rascal Flatts, Jessica Simpson or Carrie Underwood. They would all be fun to play for.
well, yeah... sorry, I just paid more attention to the guitar. I feel silly...I really never noticed the drums...but right this second Garth Brooks is on.. and I am noticing the drums...holy blonde moment...
I think it takes more than one band to define anyone. I like Spinny because they have tribal elements and laughter in their acid dance music. I like Darling of the Dead because there is so much encoded in their synth industrial music. Both are kind of unreal, upbeat and very playful.
CAKE....my all time favorites!!! My youngest son introduced them to me in the 90's and (I swear) there has not been one day when I have not listened to their music since then (addicted!!)... They have silly, quirky, crazy sons and lyrics...not unlike me :-)
When they came out with "Short Skirt/Long Jacket" I thought was was going to die, when I heard the lyrics:
"she's changing her name from Kitty to Karen...."..... my name is Karen and I swear, they wrote it for me!!!! LOL!!!!
Then you should know way more than three. Led, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Pink Floyd, Clapton, The Doors, Rod Stewart, Simon and Garfunkel, Def Leppard, George Thorogood, AC/DC, U2, Beatles, and Foreigner were all on this forum
went to see them last night in Dublin......will be posting pictures up soon. My brother in law does Edges garden every day, so may try to get an interview with him soon........ They are really good , but charge stupid prices for tickets
80,000 WENT 3 nights in a run here.... that is one in 5 Irish residents
No band personifies me per sae, but I love the Moody Blues and always will. I am a little sad that December Snow was their last album, but their original take on a few famous Christmas songs were quite fun.
You have nine different members...essentially nine different personalities...all working together in unison towards creating a finished product. Makes me come off a bit schizo...but do we not all have those multiple tiny little voices that speak to us from the upstairs region?
