On referrals, the token only last for 120 minutes. If I wanted to do a hubpages project where all participants always received a share, would it be possible?
I have a project in mind (top secret stuff) that I think would bring a lot of business to hubpages in general, and the hubbers. As a group effort, I think the outcome would be phenomenal.
Referrals last for 30 days, unless the person has clicked on a second referral URL, which lasts 120 minutes.
Ah ha! Thanks Darkside. I just came from reading your referral hub and was still confused a bit.
It's actually quite a tricky subject for anyone to get their head around. It takes a few reads and some time to let it sink in before one can truly understand the workings of the referral system. Because it isn't doing just one thing (getting immediate ad impressions), but two (getting someone to sign up).
Not quite clear on the question. You mean, would it be possible to allow one person to get a share of all ad impressions for a particular visitor forever and ever?
Na, I mean, would it be possible to "permalink" so that people who are not involved in the project cannot "steal" ad impression revenue.
Or hijack the project and redirect it to another source. Something like this.
I hope that made better sense.
I will send you an email because the project is top secret. LOL.

Trying to see if I understand this correctly. The trackers only work from outside of HP, correct? So if I have a new affiliate tracker on my profile page or in a hub, it's worthless to me, right? And if I link from one of my hubs to someone else's via a traffic tracker, again, it does me no good,...

Hubbers need to know if their account is a full-value account worth the full 40% income value to HP. Or if their account is a referred account that is only worth the partial 30% value to HP. Knowing one's value to HP is an important factor in determining how much time, labor, and even money the...

As part of our ongoing efforts to improve site structure, we are removing HubPages referral links from published Hubs by deleting their tracker IDs. HubPages referral links were always intended for use outside of HubPages, and because they redirect, they may cause some page rank to be lost. ...

I've read the FAQ, darkside's hubs, and several forum threads and didn't see an answer to this.If somebody lands on one of my hubs via a Google search, for example, and thinks "WTF is this cr*p? I could do better!" or (hopefully!) "Wow, this is so awesome - I want to join this site...

I have at least 5 referral trackers for those who wish to sign up.I have a total of 25 sign ups. This is good. However, those who have signed up are not blogging, or there is no traffic. Are these people ghosts? What is the sense of having these trackers, and someone signs up and doesn't participate...

I just started hubbing and I was wondering if those who had been here a while could let me know what kind of results they have had with the referral program? Has anyone tried running advertisements with their hubpage url anywhere? What kind of results did that get? Thanks!
