For some quick traffic use Stumbleupon and Twitter. Then keep building links back to your hub. Squidoo lenses and blogging are 2 excellent ways I frequently use.
I really can't tell you what a huge boost in traffic that reddit.com has provided for me. Reddit is almost my number one traffic source now.
facebook and twitter are great places to promote hubs i always tweet all of mine
My hub is promoted through 100 percent referring sites. My 1 article is seen around the world in 8 countries. All of my traffic comes from referring sites which is the easiest way to get more traffic. You just need to be patient and write an excellent and high quality article/hub like I have done. It took the referring sites 2 months to find my article on the internet. Patience is a must and keeping your hands off of your article while waiting for the referring sites to find it and they will find it if it is of excellent and high quality article/hub. They did it with my article on August 2010 A.D.

How do you drive traffic into your hubs?I leave links in Facebook, Twitter and forums, hoping that it could lead readers to my hubs. But are there other ways? I can't help feeling that there is something else I could be doing.

Now, not before, when you place a link, you have a choice to click rel=nofollow so that search engines ignore it. So in future hubs that you write or if you want to go back and edit, do not check this box for links to your own hubs. Also do not do this for links where you want to help the site. But...
