Can I change the URL name of my published hub?
question about my hub URL address. It doesn't match my story and I'd like to change it. Is this possible?
Unfortunately, you can not change the URL after it's been created, but you can change the hub title. Search engines see the title as important even if the URL is different. Changing it can improve your page position.
If the URL totally does not match the story then it is better to create a new hub with the desired URL and to manually move the content to that other hub. It will hurt your traffic in the short run but it will improve your chances of earning money at that hub in the long run. Note that the URL and the title don't have to be exactly the same. The URL can be rather general, such as "american-cars" and the title can be something like "Top 10 Best American Cars". Even when decide to change the title and the focus of your article then the URL will still be accurate.
The only way to change the URL is to create a new hub with the URL you want and copy the content of the the other hub into it. And then simply delete the hub with the incorrect URL. Also, I think it's best when the URL matches the title of the hub, even if not word for word.
