New resolution for 2008

    I've seen a lot of threads I wanted to post on, but didn't.  Why?  Because they degenerated into flaming matches, and given my own recent dip into an insult-match I'm just as guilty, but I've decided to do everything I can to take the high road, to be one less voice giving fuel for others' flames by just avoiding topics which turn into personal attacks. 

    So.. my newest New Year's resolution comes in the form of this:

    I resolve not to post in forum threads which contain insults, flaming, or general negativity between people. 

    This means I won't be defending my friends here, but let's face it, we're all adults capable of speaking for ourselves.

    I hope others take this too, and feel free to contact me via email through the hubpages utilities provided for such if I break this resolution.

      Once the flaming starts, I drop off the thread.  Simple, but it saves my sanity sometimes.  I don't even read the thread after that.  What is it about us that makes us want to go back for more pain?  Human beings are strange.
