It's an interesting technique, but I agree, a little weird that they thought they needed to throw in an added bonus for referrals. Can the pool of potential candidates be that bad?
I guess they're over the condom ads that the current advertising partners have been serving to what's supposed to be G rated pages.
In all fairness, the $5k is probably fairly small change given the amount of revenue that Squidoo must be generating now.

I have a hub that was moved here from Squidoo in September that I haven't touched at all. But, now it's unfeatured due to lack of engagement. I thought I had four months before stuff like that happened.

I never thought I would ask that but having just looked at the large number of hubs now classified as Idle in my account why should I write any more, and what am I do with all of those already here? A lot of them are good quality writings I know because they had previously been published in hard...
