Chapters

I'm a newbie here and I've meandered through the forums and the "Answers" pages but have been unable to find the answer to my question.

My hub is about my 31 years of living with Type 1 Diabetes. To cover 31 years I obviously will need to break it up into chapters.

Is it better to make each chapter a hub or to just make it one long hub using capsules to break up the story?

    Thanks
    Jack Gold

It really depends on how long your article becomes... If you think it's going to be longer than 1500 words then you might want to consider breaking it up into parts.  People reading artilces online tend to lose interest in very long posts or at the least start to skim over it.  I would break it down into stages, being diagnosed, getting it under control, maintaining control... with all the struggles in each stage...

Hope this helps and welcome to HP

Thanks for the quick response. It will be a pretty long article, hence my decision to break it up into chapters. Should I make it individual hubs or just capsules within one hub?

      I'm still a little confused.

      Thanks,
      Jack

I would make each stage a seperate hub and then link them together.

I think if you broke them into subcatagories with interesting titles and linked them together it would give the reader the best chance to view your work,

    all the best,

I agree with vancouverdentist.  In terms making money with google ads, this is also more advantageous.
