   This can be construed in a light hearted joking manner (which I would assume is your intention) BUT this can also be construed as insulting!!!!
   
   I do not find the "sale" of any person to be humorous, whether Oriental or not, regardless of the source.  :MAD:

      It's one thing to have an outsource place the ad, but to joke about it is another thing.
      
      You may not take offence. Which is fine.  But, be aware that others may -- that's my point.

      Jane nobody is talking about the ads on your hub. Every hub has ads on it.
      
      They are talking about announcing your hub on the forum. This is not allowed.

   Jane, nobody wants you to be offended, they just want you to follow the rules.
   
   I have already told you how to go about gaining traffic. Spamming the forum is the not the way to go about it. Spamming other forums is fine, but there is a rule and you cannot break it.
   
   There are 88,000 hubbers who have a total of 400,000 hubs.
   
   If every one of those 88,000 hubbers told us about every one of their 400,000 hubs, then this forum wouldn't exactly be a fun place to be would it?
   
   I started here 2 months and 1 week ago. I have never announced my hubs on the forum, and now have 142 fans and some good traffic.
   
   If you cant understand this, then maybe hubpages is not the place for you.

   If all the emails I get about the latest hub that has been created by a hubber, are you suggesting that I should complain about promoting hub pages, I thought that's what we are here for to promote out work.

            Yeah I know, but she thanked me for my advice in the other thread that she started. I spent a good couple of minutes of my time explaining how to get traffic and make money - which clearly went completely over her head, as she proceeded to try and promote her hub on the forum instead.
            
            So clearly my focus should move away from helping newbies, and being completely selfish from now on

    Just to let some of hubbers know who are unfamiliar with the term impolite. Referring to someone as she and her is not entirely correct.
    
    No Jane, they are not confusing the two of us. I'm younger with long dark hair, I do however have to hide the grey these days.
    
    However, just thought the whale's tale was more interesting than a picture of myself. Don't you agree?.
