Have you ever had a nasty comment left on your hubs?Did you leave it there ?
I hadn't said we were dying or complained about the heat in my hub about the light house caravan park. I am assuming Bob is from the park
I had this one yesterday----- if your husband is so sick---or dying from asbestosis--maybe you should have considered the novatel--it is quite apparent from your health state and his--that someone of your capability is not meant to be camping in the NW in the middle of summer, rather go 5 star, and as for the little barnacles in his foot...welcome to australia...a pity you never came accross a death adder in the dunes as you walked over to the beach
Sometimes people leave rude comments just to try to get to you. I've had a couple, some I left, one I deleted because it was just plain nasty. It really is up to you whether you want to leave it there.
I don't get why people feel the need to do that. They should go over to YAHOO Answers and hang out there. I have not had a nasty comment yet, but if I did, I would likely delete it because every time I saw it, it would really upset me. I try really hard to avoid negativity here at Hubpages.
Yes and yes...the only time I delete a nasty comment is if it contains crude or graphic language that I do not wish to subject my readers to. Otherwise, I view a nasty comment as an opportunity to demonstrate the kind of person I am to people who read and really do care about the content -- I answer as politely as possible, and concede that everyone is entitled to their own opinions. I have a comment someone left on my negative review of a truly awful book, and from the vitriolic language in that comment I suspect I may have met the author .
Not yet, although I feel that it is inevitable. I get email notifications when someone leaves a comment on one of my hubs. I'm always a bit nervous when I see one of those emails come in...
I've had a few. A few of my hubs deal with the lies of a scam. A few defenders of the scam come and leave nasty comments.
I leave them and make fun of them, dissecting their answers and point out how dumb they are.
The only negative thing I had was when i wrote my hub about the types of human foods cats can eat and someone said that they had fed their cat tuna before and they're fine so me saying that they aren't supposed to have it isn't believable and that I shouldn't listen to everything I read on the internet. It's not too bad or anything, but it was kind of annoying to read. But I did leave it on there. I'm not going to delete something just because someone doesn't agree with what I said. They're wrong and I know it though. ha-ha.

Does it bother you that people visit your hubs and don't leave comments? What's more important to you, getting tons of traffic with no comments or getting less traffic with comments? For me, I love to get comments because it lets me know if I have touched someone or given someone a new way of doing...

Practice that I find deplorable someone fans you hoping that you'll come read some of their hubs and comment and maybe even fan them, then after they get what they want they drop you. They want to have lots of fans but be a fan of only a few I guess. In your hubtivity it doesn't show...

I have been a part of Hubpages for a while now and try to comment on other peoples hubs when I read them. However for some reason although I am getting regular traffic (admittedly not high, but regular) I am not getting comments. What can I do to encourage people to leave a comment?

I find it annoying that some whom I follow would leave their hublinks in my comments. I already follow this person and have read their hubs and comment on them. They do it to every hub they read, I have noticed it. I don't know how you feel about it but it annoy the hell out me but am too...

How do you do it? I am now averaging 100 Hub published notices a day. I want to leave comments as Hubbers do for me.Picking a certain amount or choosing a few per day is not a solution for me. Most of these published Hubbers find the time to leave me a comment. So what's a Hubber...
