I know that some people wear their greys proudly, and some people hide them or pluck them out. I'm curious as to the ratio of men to women, and age.

If memory serves me correctly, I was about 5-1/2 months old. (an early worrier, right?)

I was 39 or 40.  I was in shock when I found I had gray, so I went to the store, bought a box of Miss Clairol in soft black, then learned how to drown those grays.  Sad to say, I am vain and have supported the cosmetic industry for about 10 years before getting tired of making that dye mess in my bathroom.  Dye everywhere once every six to eight weeks--floor, tub, ceiling.  You name it.  It's dyed in soft black or blue black.

I am 'North of 55" and mercifully, my red (strawberry blonde) hair has not turned grey yet wink  The blonde streaks are really taupe, not grey.

I was only 12 when  I found my first grey hair. I don't usually pluck it but whenever someone is bothered by it and wants to pluck it, I just allow them. No big deal whatsoever, having a grey hair is a sign of wisdom.

I was 37, and it was actually white, and I've left it.  I have a fine crop of about twenty now, and I enjoy each and every one where it is.

I started getting grey hairs at 18 when I was in high school. It started in my facial hair and worked its way up. That is also about the time that my hair started thinning. Therefore, I don't pluck the greys because I'm happy to have any hair at all.

I've had some gray since I was a teen.  I color it now to attempt to look my age (I'm only 31).  My daughter is only 5 and I actually found a gray hair the other day while I was playing with her hair.  It runs on my mom's side...lucky us  :-)

I was about 40 years old. I was frustrated and started to pluck them, but they came more in a period of time. I hate my grey hair so i decided to get a permanent regular dye.

Interesting. I have had an occasional grey hair since I was a teenager, but they are coming more regularly since I hit my mid-twenties. Now that I am approaching 30 I even have them in my eyebrows!  Sparsely, but they are there. I leave them, because if I plucked them eventually I'd have no eyebrows. yikes

When I was around 30 years old, I had a lot of grey hairs appearing. I decided then that it was time for me to find a permanent dye and have been dying my hair ever since. I am 46 now.
